So boosting so called communities. finally! but not enough

In that case it probably is a case of blizzard banning Gallywix completely rather than just the people involved with RMT which is questionable at best.

< NotGallywixCommunity > but yeh you’re right, it will just be Method/Echo all over again lol

I would think they’d seek a completely different name if they start up again.

The other boosting communities will love it, providing all their practices are above board.

I’m amazed they would risk RMT when they had such a successful platform.

Individual boosters you can ignore and they are limited to one server, these big communities that have alts on every server to spam 24/7 you can’t actually ignore. I’ve tried ignoring every boost seller, my ignore list filled up and I just left trade instead.

Greed got the better of the big wigs involved I assume. They was probably gold capped across all their accounts and figured they’d try their luck and if they get found out/banned just make another account and start again.
It is a shame to see because as much as i’m against boosting community’s, they was a big name in WoW in the last year or so and have done a lot of the community with giveaways etc.
It’s a shame to see greed taking over but honestly not surprising, with hoarding billions of gold it was only a matter of time for them to try and turn those pixels into something worth to them again.

Addons can do that for you, like badboy, requires the main addon and a plugin

Conversely, why go to all the ache of a platform like that if you can’t make a bit of RL gold from it. Afterall, gold becomes meaningless if you have tens or hundreds of millions of it.

I get a boosting community to make money for a world first race or something, but the time and effort that must of gone into this one, just to make Scrooge McDuck amounts of gold seemed pointless.

I also claimed long time ago, that these boost communities often doing shady deals (not every members of it) and called me stupid and ect.

Good riddance!

Multiboxing is just 1 step away from botting , and destroys market economy , it derails the game purpose .
The trade is very simple for a few multi-boxers they are risking huge numbers of botters . Taking " licking your spit to another lvl " for a few bucks they let things escalate instead of bringing the game to a normalization lvl .

There’s been no statement from them and Their Discord server, twitter account (Gallywixboost) and their website are gone completely, which is were they did the majority of their trade and organizing so looks like they’ve done a “Sco” and gone into hiding for a few weeks

I think that’s probably what made them do it, but they’ll have lost all the in game gains they made from the legitimate gold when their accounts get perma banned.

Unless things have changed RMT is perma ban offense.

Blizzards “rule of thumb” regarding “botting” as always been clear “one button press, one action” which they have quoted 1000’s of times and is in the ToS , while quite obviously Multiboxing breaks this “rule” they have continued to ignore it quite obviously preferring the extra income from more subs than the impact it has on the game, Multiboxing by Blizzard’s own definition IS botting.

Yes, and this argument also applies to the RMAH in Diablo 3, doesn’t it?

Making something seem OK because they can’t figure out how to control people when they declare it’s not OK does not make it OK. It just means they’re incompetent.

EDIT: By the way, the damage done by the token and real money trading is completely identical. The only difference is that, in the case of the token, Blizzard acts as custodian, which makes the trade safer. That is ONLY an advantage for buyer and seller - nobody else are affected.

A new “community” called Icecrown is taking over the one banned. May be blizz need to look into that one as well.

oh my god, not the anti multiboxer liberation front again

I don’t get comments like this, unless you are a multiboxer yourself, multiboxing only negatively impacts your gameplay. It has literally killed 90% of goldmaking/economy of the game.

The only thins you can do anymore are raw gold farming raids, flipping, or be a multiboxer. Its one of the most cancerous things to ever happen to wow.

Its so widespread now its sickening, before in like Cata/MoP i saw maybe 1-2 multiboxers a month doing stuff in capital cities.

Now i see maybe 6-7 a DAY just nuking every economy on the server

Not true, you can also be a booster! 10/10 game economy.

I agree, BFA as been the worst for me personally not only seeing Boxers all the time, but had them directly affect my own personal game play Herb collecting in Nazjatar were the Boxers have been very prolific, regularly seeing 10+ “packs” consisting of at least 10 druid’s farming herbs just to sell them on the AH and no doubt some through RMT sites , I am sure this has directly effected multiple players not only myself. This by definition is player griefing

Doesnt take much time to remake kekw.

And it will only get worse. I wish players could just you know, take 1-2 hours of their afternoon and go out and gather some ore, smelt some bars, and actually make good money doing so like we could in the past.

But it’s literally being gatekept by borderline botting via multiboxers who has mafia-level control over the entire economy by producing 100x more materials than the average player. But this, this is completely natural to Blizzard, yep, turn a blind eye to this, no problem, let the economy go up in flames.
