So many bots in Shadowlands

Nothing. Literally nothing. Just like they don’t do anything about boosting. But of course, from time to time they will say how they do something about it. I don’t remember the game ever being in a worse state when it comes to boosting and bots. I literally don’t understand what’s going on.

So people shouldn’t report potential bots/multiboxxers because it might be a person doing it legit?

When are we supposed to report then, when they straight up admit to it?

Get outta here with your BS

When it’s CLEAR they are breaking the rules. They are understaffed and by reporting things that aren’t actually breaking the rules you stop them getting to people who are.

They let them run wild then ban them. The bots have made enough to just buy wow all over again… both sides win.

because they are sharding them
what eyes dont see, the heart dont grieve over

Probably through this. Place it on a node, and the clicker will teleport to a random place. Article about it:

I see at least 3 of those every day. Have reported a lot and got feedback from Blizzard dozens of times saying they have investigated and took action against those accounts.

Botting cancer, idk what a point of all this crafting proffesion, when multi-boxer and multi-botters just ruined everything. U trying to sell something for X gold 40 pieces (u spend time of RL) and after 4 minutes multi-botter offering 6000 in 2 times cheaper… Coz he have 45 botting accounts thats doing the job 24/7.

It feels like Blizzard is either lazy or just intentionally putting this off. Botting while it still exists in other games has been very effectively combated, look at something like Runescape, used to be infested with bots, but they started creating algorithms to recognise movement, click, and mouse movement patterns to determine bots from regular players and it works wonderfully.

Do bots still exist in runescape? Sure, but today it’s basically only very sofisticated personally programmed bots created by a select few people, all the commercially available bot softwares are very quickly nuked.

Blizzard has like 1000x the development resources of most other MMO developers, it can’t be that hard for them to create an algorithm to log, ability use sequences, click patterns, movement patterns etc to determine bots from non-bots.

As long as they pay Blizz don’t care

I have only seen one follow train of druids and they were 100% botting. Also if they are instantly all herbing at once then they are using 3rd party tools to mirror inputs which is also now against the rules.

I have reported about 30 bots since I started SL yesterday, all guildless druids that if you watch for 15 seconds you can see are clearly bots, running preset paths, instantly turning 90+ degree angles to continue running down their set paths, getting stuck on unexpected obstacles etc.
