yeah - and the reason was - blizzard hates players ctually having fun
twilight devastation was one of most fun and awesome things which have been in this game for years at that point - once it procced nicely in good moment - oh boy those numbers were skyrocketing :0
Yes, OP thatâs all true, however in Shadowlands the dungeons were the same for the whole expansion except the last season, and secondly were havenât been playing any DF dungeons for about 6 months now, and 4 of them we havenât played for a year. I think itâs gonna be ok.
And weâre getting Pandamonium, whatever that is.
But more importantly of course, theyâre working on TWW and thereâs gonna be beta access for that if youâre interested enough, and if youâre not theyâre doing SoD and world events and Plunderstorm.
Look, Iâm not saying theyâre being perfect, but you seriously canât reasonably suggest theyâve not been delivering any content. Normally at this point in an expansion cycle we get a year long content drought - and weâre not getting that. In point of the fact that theyâre making 3 new expansions simultaneously in order to shorten this whole content drought thing away for the next expansion.
Are you answering to me? You think Twilight Devastation was a good thing? Are you mad?
Let me correct your statement : Only hunters were having fun in BFA S4. Everyone else was not.
Because the tuning nightmare that corruptions caused is unbelievable. There is a reason why borrowed power was removed.
And you think we are not getting crazy power ups in S4? Let me remind you that the ilvl bloat is so massive there are people that will show up with 50% vers and 50% haste to dungeons. Yes. That much.
So you got your power up. Enjoy.
There. Someone said the truth. Its so obvious as well. I dont know why people like OP continue to confuse things.
Let me correct your statement, not only hunters were having fun in s4. I did not play hunter, played spriest, which was euhm, not in a great spot, lets say it like that, and i had loads and loads of fun. My guildies and other friends, of which only a few, maybe 2 or 3, played hunter, had fun.
You should really stop stating things as fact when you try and speak for others.
Yeah, i am agreeing a lot of other specs were fun too (played myself hpala, mistweaver, resto shaman). Especially on less serious keys people enjoyed things like twilight devastation (tanks ). But i also had made some stupid weak auraâs to track my haste (2 haste trinkets from the raid, Wrathion and Raâdan) and void rituals. Secondaries got completely out of hand.
And that is basically the point Uda makes. It was a bad design, obviously.
But thats the thing, bad design doesnt necessarily need to equal lack of fun. I dont think we will be able to find a lot of people that will say that corruptions were good design. They were fun though.
I think the fun was only because of twilight devastation because it had such an animation and did ridiculous damage (based on health so basically a tank thing). All the other stuff was passive. Like Udaâs example Hunter wasnât fun at all. It just got big numbers by secondary-corruptions. The fun was on the meter, not on the gameplay.
I remember having to tell half our raid group to for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE stop running infinite stars when we do Maut in Nyalotha, because the damn thing would proc and people would just drop like flies during the shield phaseđ
To me the fun was also the massive amount of secondary stats we had, and that went for hunter as well. As Shadow i was running around with 100% crit and haste and that just felt sooo good.
I agree with you on the fun part, i wouldnt call bfa a strong expansion however. But there was a lot to do for those that wanted to do it, thats for sure.
Ah so youd rather never kill a boss instead? That explains so much. This was mythic raiding, if 5 of your dps die to the shield the boss is never going down. Get your facts straight before piping up.
âWe bashed our heads against a boss we couldve oneshot without those corruptions for 3 hours but at least those 5 people had fun dying every pullâ
I dont think you realize that boss made them kill themselves, not others. Ofcourse it would be hilarious if someone nuked a few people with that mechanic but thats not how that worked on that boss.
And yes it was funny the first few times, but after that its time to switch it up and fix what is happening.
and yeah i know very well where you come from - but thats not fault of infinite stars - thats fault of incompetent devs who cannot add literaly 1-2 lines of code making infinite stars doing 0 dmg to players if used on that shield.
15 year old who is leraning rpogramming can write such code
Never said it wasnt fun. I just said we had to ask people to stop running it because proccing massive damage when it gets reflected to you is asking for trouble. They were free to run as much of it as they wanted on any other boss.
