Even if that would be true: Wow, very impressive. At WotLK launch, one of the fan favorites in the minds of wow players, compared to the end of expansion content drought Shadowlands.
If anything its impressive Shadowlands would still have 1.2 million.
@Jaze: Actually, technically speaking Smokeybean is correct. The highest values were pretty much immediately after Cataclysm launched. Unfortunately, overall, Cataclysm also caused the largest individual decline / per expansion outside launch spikes.
I think youâd find most Classic enthusiasts play Classic for this very reason.
Zabra will assume most of us Classic Andies are at a stage in life where real life is a challenging grind. And I would not want to log on to my favourite game, only to treat it as a second job or some sort of e-sport just to have a chance to participate in endgame activities.
I like the slow and somewhat easy endgame (compared to the ADHD laser-show and quick tap-dancing, jump around dumpster fire that is Retail endgame stuff) because I can talk s*** with my guildies, drink a cold one or a glass of scotch while weâre at it, without destroying the game for everyone.
I just joined the game again for Wotlk Classic and because all my RL friends from the wotlk phase back then are so hyped. I have given up on retail since BFA so it really doesnât interest me at all anymore. I think there are enough players like me so the servers wonât be empty (but probably a bit emptier for 2-3 months).
