I don’t think Blizzard itself knows what canon is anymore.

sadly, no. they(blizzard) are the ONLY ones who can say what is cannon, end off. as much as we sometimes might come up with “better” ideas in our heads how things should be.
Honestly though, it’s not the first time blizzard and metzen has retconned something.
WC2 Draenei are just the broken, Metzen forgot when they made TBC, in this case I think they wanted to expand and have it accessible for people, hunting down comics is insane at times for sources.
It can never be canon for me if I never play Season of Discovery

I have been looking at the scarlet enclave raid stuff and it’s pretty crazy.
