if you read the new Runes its true… this new runes will make more stronger all characters… and the content need change for be more fun and Difficult.
i hope BLizzard know this and will change somethings for make the content a new experience

It won’t ruin Classic because they’ll still be Classic servers to play on, as well as Hardcore servers.

There is only retail, classic era and wotlk. 3 versions of game. Not 9. I dont know if you notice but hardcore is literaly just different realm in classic era.

The only way for it to ruin Classic is if SoD actually drains players from Era because it is the better game. On paper it sounds and looks fun. But never underestimate Blizz ability to nerf the fun out of their games.
Pretty sure everything will get nerfed, content will get stale and players will eventually either quit when they realize this is the same GDKP / speedrunning bs game as Classic or move to other things.
I will give it a shot only because they bring back my fav warlock spec that got removed in legion but i do not have high hopes (in both players / Blizz ability to lead this boat)

This doesn’t ruin classic, it’s just another option to play WoW.
And if most era players would leave (including myself) then SoD is obviously a pretty good game. Nothing wrong with that, era remains untouched.

Yeah this is what i meant. But i think if Era is drained from its playerbase, it does damage it further as a vicious circle because era is not a solo game and less players means less everything eventually.

The solo experience and journey to 60 is much more entertaining and interesting than raid logging for many players. I think many people need a reality check.

A bit of a disingenuous opening to give foundation to your argument, though with foundations made of sand a house will poorly stand.
A company trying hard to keep as much of its player base interested in the face of dwindling cash flow. A second-hand shop offering old goods that have been polished and refurbished.
Asking players to stump up now for a new xpac with a planned release which is over 12 months away, they think this game is like a new Ferrari lol. Desperation.

Ridiculous, Vanilla is great because mechanics and content, period, it’s great flat out because of the game, the community is simply another result OF the game, it is great because it is the only version where the world is actually alive, where creativity is free to flow and players make create their own fun, it’s great because it’s full of chaos where you can do anything, it’s great because of all the unique aspects of it, it’s great because you’re actually playing a war between Alliance and Horde, it is great because the game is completely unique from any other version of WoW, because it is the only WoW that is not streamlined and plays out as a sandbox experience where players create their own fun.
Go back to retail.

This seems terribly uninformed, because hardcore, increased endgame difficulty (Mastery) and Classic+ (Discovery) are some of the most consistently requested features. Have you been participating in the community for the past few years?
