Well not all team comps require that much coordination. Not even close.
Most team comps are just built around either compensating your teammate’s spec weaknesses or you complementing eachother by creating the same kind of pressure.
E.g Ret Warrior / DK Warrior / Warrior Enhancement etc aren’t hard comps to play for example. You just keep zug zugging and ocassionally press some buttons to enable your teammate to continue zug zugging.
Neither are comps like Affliction Warlock Shadow Priest or Affliction Warlock Ele shaman. You just permanently PvE the entire enemy team and the rest is just surviving.
Such comps don’t require big brain strategies, but you’re playing with specs that make your life easier. Now compare that to playing something awkward in a Shuffle round such as DH / Sub rogue. You both have multiple CC abilities, but the Rogue is useless if he can’t get his own off. So the DH would have to never press his stun for example or look out for not breaking Blinds. It’s awkward and annoying.
There are some people that prefer organized meta comps (3v3), and some people that prefer showing their individual skill in a more unorganized setting (SS). I prefer the second one, but I appreciate having both options.
Its your opinion that it is the worst pvp mode. But the numbers playing this mode show that the majority likes it or at least hate the other modes more. Without Shuffle i would never play arena just because i dont want to search people to play with after work when i come home.
Even when you have a guild or 100 friends a lot of the time they dont want to play arena. And on top of that if you dont play “metaclass” than gg to find organized group that will take you.
True true i just never thought rss is a good idea when i first saw ir cause atm in all3 playable brackets 1200 ppl are above 2400 if they never made rss we atleast have 1 good active braxlet 3vs3 or rss if they choose 1 of these 2 i mean 2v2 could be removed i give 0 fs
whaat? when u 0 wins at the end of round 3 u can still get a draw to not lose rating.
i even try my best if im 0 wins at the last round to not lose 40 extra raiting ontop.
Imo you can’t really go by bracket activity to determine which one people like more. You can if you compare the LFG brackets 2s and 3s, but since shuffle has an entirely different way to queue up it’s not comparable.
I think people play way more shuffle because it’s way more accessible. Pretty sure if anyone could just log in and get invited by his friends for 3s and just queue up without having to look for teammates/comps many people would prefer 3s. The gamemode itself isn’t the determining factor, it’s the accessibility.
Pretty sure in the blizzard metrics, heroic dungeons and lfr raids are more active as mythic+ or heroic raids just because you can press a button and queue up.
I think the game needs both, solo modes and premade queues. It’s great to able to log in, play the game and if your friends are on to queue up with them.
Solo shuffle is the future of WoW PVP and is by far the best PVP mode. It is the PVP mode of choice for almost all regular joes, but also for many top PVP-ers alike.
It has its problems, yes - leavers, healers shortage, but it will only get better in the future as blizzard will for sure invest in it and fix many of the flaws.
10 years ago it made sense to look for regular partners and have 2v2/3v3 teams but today most of us are already in our thirties/forties with more responsibilities. Hoping that your PVP friends will be online and willing to do arena at the same time you can play is usually too much to ask.
Solo shuffle and solo RBG (when it gets implemented eventually) is what will define WoW PVP in the years to come, and it will be better than ever.
