Someone give me genuine criticism on Gnomes as a race

I stopped reading Brigante’s essays in… 2017, I think?

Watching gnomes die in days of darkness and death is funny though.

So is watching fat people fall over, I tell you what: you can punt us, if we get to trip you up

In fairness, you are not exactly the ‘target audience’ as such, given your posts on the Story Forums, you are one of those people who the most rational of arguments will not sway, So don’t worry.

Its more for people who can look at things objectively and go, "Hmm, so the Gnomes had a Cthulu Incursion, followed by the start of ‘Aliens’ then they were gassed, then a ‘28 Days later’ type situation, at the same time as a ‘Chernobyl’ type event, Lets add ‘Threads’ into the mix for those old enough to remember, and a more lethal ‘Dunkirk’ scenario. All of this and they didn’t ask for help because “The Alliance had their own problems”

Its for people who can look at that objectively and go “Actually yeah, that was grim” I was not expecting someone like you to look at it and change your views…

But how!! If you are talking about male draenei, okey. I 100% agree. But all the draenei!? How come?

in a huffy, whiny tone of voice when you try to kick them sometimes the little buggers squish instead of punt…

Oh look the Blood elf is trying to act as if he could punt a rock let alone a Gnome

Speak for yourself lady. Gnomes are almost as perfect as Goblins…almost

Various reasons;

First of all I disagree with why they were added. We should have gotten either ‘the broken’ or ‘the eredar’. Not some made-up on the spot race to fit some weird in between version.

Second, I dislike their technology aesthetic. All the purple and pink gem stuff. Just doesn’t appeal to me whatsoever.

Thirdly I dislike their whole design. Why? I don’t know, I just dislike it. Taste. :man_shrugging: From their stupid horns, to the ugly tentacles on their faces to their stupid hooves. I hate it all.

I dislike their horrible accents.

I just hate them!

I agree ! :3

  1. They jump higher than their own bodies. This requires implausible muscle structure from their pudgy shape implies.

  2. They can be melee classes; how absurd. Termignomers I could just about forgive, but those afflicted with the curse of flesh simply cannot muster the speed or strength required for this role. (FTR, I feel the same about b’elves and similar derivatives.)

Other than that I have no objections.

Well obviously they can:)

Errm. Alleria teaches to think of the therapeutic swaying of gnomes when the shadows start to whisper in the dead of night.

haha there goes my drink :joy::joy::joy::joy:

They can because the devs had a moment and forgot how stupid it looks to have a gnome in plate armour, charging at someone with a 2-handed battleaxe.

In TBC, b’elves nearly couldn’t be any class that didn’t use mana - I suspect one reason that got pulled was because someone pointed out the absurdity of gnomes.

What, like Pandaren, and any other Race that can play a Warrior? Its Maaagic! I mean for goodness sake, Taran Zhu can stand on water with one toe and you think Gnome Warriors are unrealistic?

Have you ever seen in this game, how things the size of a human can punch an Ogre to death, or a tauren can punch a Dragon, but a Gnome doing something of a similar level of mass difference is weird?

Also, got a source for that, as it seems Species that were altered by the curse of flesh -can- do these things, and have no difficulty doing so. I mean lets face it, a lot of races were Titan constructs, yet people always come back to Gnomes, conveniently forgetting about Dwarves and Humans.
Blood Elves and their derivatives were evolved from trolls, who have -no- problems with speed or strength, so not sure where that is going…

Yet a Dwarf charging at someone in plate armour with a 2-handed Battleaxe looks normal, right? Or a Human charging at an Ogre with a 2-handed battleaxe? or a Pandaren at a Mogu with a 2-handed battleaxe?

Its a question of scale, and that works both ways. Throw a person out of a second floor window (This is not an imperative, I am not recommending this!) and they will end up with broken bones, if not dead, do the same to a Cat (Again, not recommending this!) and the chances are extremely high it will just be annoyed and wander off…

I highly doubt that. I doubt it had anything at all to do with Gnomes, but more them going “Why couldn’t they be warriors?” “Umm, because…umm…because…” “Can’t any race do that stuff?” “Yeah, hang on, they can’t because umm, umm, Yeah, there is no reason”

They femal gnomes are too cute to be blood dk tanks, I’m sorry but you are blood Dk’s are unstoppable ferocious scary as hell rune warriors with a batlle cry that should send shivers down the spine of enemies. I was in a dungeon the other day with a little female gnome blood dk tanking and she ran off with her little pink bobbly hair waving behind her and all of a sudden instead of an almighty blood curdling roar I’ve come to expect from blood Dk’s I got a very sweet very “awwwww I wanna bundle you up in cotten wool and feed you chocolate all day” meow lol :joy:.

They are pretty cool but there just so so so sweet, well the female gnomes are.

Oh and of course puntable always puntable.

Correct weight/size ratio but really bad aerodynamics.

Not enough mohawks.

For the Horde Gnomes are Bugged: Right clicking on a gnome does not activate pet battle mode.
