They should have never made him into the human model. Are blizz scared of having a forsaken leader look like a forsaken. Sylvanus, nathanos and now possibly Calia.
He tried to run away many times before this.
When Tyrande and Malfurion fight him in Darkshore, he fights for a little while; then runs away.
When he Fights Princess Tess in the worgen Heritage quest, he stuns her and runs away.
At this point this is just his regular personality.
You should’ve spoiled yourself properly rather than just looking at the topic and then forming an opinion.
We’re not sure what happens to Nathanos after this encounter, which ends at 11%, triggering a placeholder cinematic.
Anything can happen in said cinematic, Nathanos might just go into the Maw where his kween is at
The bait quest wasn’t intentional bait, it was just bad design and Blizzard not thinking things through / adding things at the very last second.
There won’t be any real option to side with Sylvanas, because in the end, our characters are only peons that do whatever the yellow exclamation mark tells them and the story progresses into whatever direction the “writers” are pushing it.
now that would be the biggest letdown ever…
i still hope they have something planned
I agree, it would be.
Similar to the letdown with the Eye of N’zoth that’s plastered onto the forehead of a fair bit of people.
I am surprised you can still hope for them to make things better, let’s both hope you’re correct.
Didn’t Nathanos start off as a quest NPC which the Alliance had to kill waaay back in Classic? I don’t get what people are so upset about - he’s just returning to his roots.
This thread now become a in memory of Nathanos barkcaller, if any of you have anything to say about his death in good or in bad speak now, before his case is closed .
I have a strange feeling like i just went into some kind of trap why would any hunter await quietly in his old home ?
He knew by doing that he was offering himsef and that he woudn’t survive the ordeal.
I hope we are rid of him for good but it seems very odd and like he acted on command, he for sure was a crazy one if he accepted to die for that thing …
I guess that’s it then, now he is in peace no more yes master i will do my best, no more suffering from being an undead condition.
I am not surprised the moody priestress tyrande went and stole us the killing blow that is definitely kaldorei cowardice, coming when the thing was slayed and acting like a coward, for once she the tyrande is acting accordingly to what she is supposed to be and her nature a coward, coming when everything is done.
God, just delete Nathanos already.
It’s like he got added to the shallow irritating edgelord template. What a shockingly disappointing character.
Every interaction with him is cringe. Thats right, I know its cringe to say cringe but it had to be done. The low point is generally reached when you kill some birds with onions in Drustvar and he screams “yes, yes, yeeeeeeees!” when you finish. What the actual hell?
I actually liked Nathanos and he had alot of potential.
Now we have no actual interesting Horde leaders. Well done Blizzard.
Yes in legion his character and appearance became very stupid
Being a loyalist we got rewarded nothing
Looks like a good opportunity to dive into other faction leaders with nathanos gone.
I’m pretty sure he dies on purpose to meet sylvanas in shadowlands because she didnt take him with her.
I always found that hilarious.
Loyalty is one own self reward, you have been rewarded with a lot friend you just do’nt see it as such right now !
You got an entire expansion to be evil and destroy everything and got to watch 6 Sylvanas cinematics, you’re also getting another Sylvanas expansion and likely even more Sylvanas cinematics.
That’s way more than anyone else got and also way more than you deserved for being THAT greedy.
Something tells me you actually don’t know his story.
In classic you could find him out in the world at his house.
Based on the SS it seems to be a “coming full circle” thing.
This is actually a nice way to end an annoying character.
Quit whining.
Killing Nathanos is still the best thing I’ve seen in the pre-patch. Sadly he’s going to probably either survive or we’ll meet him again in Shadowlands, which just makes me happier because we’ll get to kill him twice. Damn, I’d be even happy if I could kill him again and again in the next 2-3 years!
He’ll run away at 10% and we’ll see him sometime again in the Shadowlands.
Such a shame as he could’ve been done and over with like the garbage self-insert he is.
