It’s one of those “Why no Azerite War Machines in the War of Thorns?” thing.
Blizzard has the solution to the problem just sitting there, waiting to be picked up, but instead they create a new, convoluted solution that makes people scratch their heads and opens up a dozen plot holes.
Making the Mag’har be from the future alternate timeline which is now on par with our present, instead of being… well, the actual Mag’har… is another example of that sort of “thinking”…
Considering they delayed the heritage sets as well for 8.3, this really wasn’t worth the wait. I was really hoping for (and even expecting) some kind of armoured trenchcoat like Greymane’s.
Gotta say this is a pretty by the numbers patch here.
Some of it might be cool, Vulpera hype is real and the mechagnome heritage armour is dope. Auction house changes legit.
But Nzoth being released once again boils down to the same old systems being used for the same kind of content we did last expansion. Maybe there will be some interesting story developments that lead into 9.0.
Excellent work Ion on plugging the “thrilling conclusion to the war campaign line” again, round of applause. Also dropping the “true battle for azeroth” line at last, hoping for a standing ovation only to get a “yeah duh” since we all knew this was coming since you announced BfA.
Cheers for fixing the Vale though, appreciate that.
Could be a cool patch, but I think I am just too jaded by the same old content with a new skin. Obviously will play it though.
One of the few things I’m actually happy about. And it’s not just fixed, it looks like it got HD graphics as well.
Yeah. We’re old veterans… The few things that genuinely get us hyped anymore are expansion annoucements. We may be jaded, but still like the game to some extent.
I’m of the opinion that if I ever really get so jaded I am physically unable to be optimistic and hyped by something, that will be the day that I quit and just migrate to ESO for good.
Honestly most leaks I’ve seen got Thanos’d the moment we got the ending for 8.2.5 revealed. I can’t see any of them surviving now we know what’s in 8.3.
But they’ll just move goal posts as always “I-It’s for the next expansion guys! J-Just watch! Th-that guy had a screenshot of those spooky boats in Unreal Engine’s default water, that means it was legit!”
