Ok, nerfing lone wolf, explo shot and scorpid DoT might have been warranted but why making aspect of the lion not affecting your pet ? Any other buff can be applied to my pet but I alone cannot buff it ? This must be reverted.

Bud I do think they will continue and also nerf Beast Mastery rune in near future :frowning:

I am just wondering when they are going to fix flanking strike (damage and mechanics with mongoose bite) because to have MB proc after dodge was always a bad design. And hunter chest runes are just meh.

Top dps even with the bugged scorpion was still a warrior, and rogues/ferals were extremly close. So this isnt even true. So now with the pets removed from the game. Hunters will probably drop bellow the middle.

Omg another overnerf
I was hyped about playing MM hunter, went to raid as MM and was kicked even though I did more dps than other classes but less than other hunters.
Nerf OP numbers but give us something too. Explosive is useless, Sniper is 6 sec standing with no lingering, which makes it useless for raid. We are forced to play BM and now they nerf it to the ground.

Not according to posted logs. Warriors are doen with Mages / shamans.

To be fair, releasing the game in its current state probably was not the best idea. There’s a big difference between “it’s basically gonna be a beta” and whatever SoD is right now. Many things need a fundamental rework to be balanced and/or achieve what SoD is trying to do (e.i. be Classic+), and many people won’t be happy with their class of choice getting reworked less than 2 weeks into a season.

Hindsight do be 20/20.

Statistically you’re right, but Warrior is a scaling class and the best runes aren’t easy to grab. Alaundoh the guy with the most rank 1’s as Warrior in Classic to date now holds the rank 1 overall.

His gear is incredible and he has the epic 2h sword. Statistically you’re right tho, Alaundoh is known for taking prio on all the loot and building strategy around making sure he gets top dps, so it only tells half the picture. Warriors will probably creep up on the statistics in the coming weeks tho, as more players get better gear.

Don’t forget, right now in crappy gear Warriors can’t even use spells, they have no rage. That rage feedback loop turns them into monsters when the scales start to tip.

  1. the best / decent DPS runes are pretty easy to grab. Most difficult is Flagellation, and even that is not tied to one of the grinds.
  2. warriors have three runes that provide rage generation that can be used at the same time. Rage is not a big issue unless you’re dumb and run DW fury with 0 hit vs. mobs that are higher level than you. The core problem is that there is nothing relevant to spend said rage on.
  3. a class should not be balanced around a single purple item that might drop eventually, maybe. SoD is supposed to fix things, not make them worse.

The two things that cripple warriors DPS are:

  1. the melee hit table
  2. overreliance on a very limited amount of items, especially weapons

SoD was supposed to address class issues, but it basically did the opposite for warriors. No other class struggles are ridiculously as warriors while hunters can literally be AFK and deal more damage.

Those devs are soooo bad…those new gen programmers and designers are the worst…no skill what so ever.

This post is so full of it. I was topping a dungeon yesterday while successfully cast/cancelling heroic strike to abuse the offhand hit bug for more rage. The best runes aren’t easy to grab, single minded fury is a long rep grind that nobody wants to do.

Also, you’re clearly misinformed because there are new items added to the game, including a number of crafted items with hit % on them (including gloves from LW and a chest from BS).

Warriors have rage generation runes

  1. Endless rage - it’s not very good because it competes with better runes.
  2. Blood Frenzy - It’s awful because you don’t have deep wounds and rend isn’t worth casting a large majority of the time, and the more gear you get the worse rend gets because it has no scaling.

You don’t run these runes, they are bad.

Did you even read what you wrote? You supposedly topped DPS in a pug by abusing a bug. This is pure copium, worse than paladins defending seal twisting.

Nobody has the hit items yet aside from a very select few. We’re in the second BFD reset.

Blood Frenzy does basically scale negatively, but it’s decent at lower gear levels (which is the entire playerbase right now). Especially on cleave. Also, what do you mean with “no Deep Wounds”? You can get Deep Wounds and all the top parses run / have ran it.

This tells me everything I need to know about you and your knowledge of Warriors. Abusing this bug is the ABC 123 of Fury Warrior gameplay from Vanilla to the day Cata prepatch hits. It’s in every guide, in every log, every warrior will tell you about it.

The whole basis of understanding basic fury warrior gameplay in this era of the game is understanding how the heroic strike bug affects hit rating. To even comment something like this, you know nothing about Warrior in Classic, nothing.

It is not a bug, it is the mechanic that Blizzard allows you to do in the game.

If it is considered a bug, you need to be furious about Blizzard ,not random guy on the forum.

They are billion dollar company, like they are earning million dollars everyday ( I don’t know can you imagine or not) and they don’t fix the bug in the game you are PAYING EVERY MONTH, And they don’t fix this for 20years. Because they just want to M I L K you as much as possible. They don’t want to spend even 1 penny for this game beside marketing, advertising,streamers etc.

If you are not mad at Blizzard and if you are still paying 10 15 whatever euro every month that means that you are fine with the Fury thing.

Explosive shot was a bit powerful, it required a nerf, result? You literally destroyed this rune and on top of that, for free, you nerfed CS for no f***** reason?

Now something else, as you obviously don’t know how to code anymore, scalling problem between Flanking strike and the scorpid’s poison, JUST ONE THING to correct ONE! Result? Nerf to the ground and also why not, let’s be crazy, nerf AotL which no longer applies to the pet ???

When other classes defend themselves from being too powerful, their recurring argument is: At level 25 it’s normal if the game is not balanced. Okay, fine.
So why doesn’t this argument work regarding the hunter eh?

Not only are our runes boring as hell, they don’t bring any gameplay changes, we remain the last class confined to a single role, but the little fun we can have is directly nerf or destroyed? Simply removing the Hunter class, for what your blatant incompetence does, it’s not worth it. And let the mourners play between paladin/mage/warlock.

You’re assuming a lot if you think I’m “furious”. I just find it exceedingly funny that classic players will defend blatantly broken game mechanics in a discussion about game balance concerning what is essentially a balance update for a 20-year-old game.

It’s time to let go, gramps. Things like debuff slots, hit rating changes during queued attacks and spell batching were technical limitations / oversights, not features. No developer intentionaly designs a game / class around obscure and unintuitive mechanics. Changes to debuff slots indicate that Blizzard agrees that changes are needed if Classic+ is supposed to be an actual thing instead of just a meme.

You outed yourself as uninformed by making ridiculous comments, there is nothing to discuss. If I am a rocket scientist, I’m not going to discuss propulsion with a plummer who has an opinion because he follows Elon Musk on twitter.
