I mean, what did you expect honestly? They gave us a faction war in the middle of a world crisis where our entire planet is dying and we’re using her very blood for a war that we have no resources nor manhood to wage and on top of that they made Horde feel like villains and Alliance like incompetent morons.
And let’s not forget, they are happy and pleased with how they did it.
So at this point, I can’t see them improving the current situation nor giving us a satisfying development that won’t make us wanna stop caring in frustration. So I just made my peace with it all and just want a nice, secure story where I can at least feel like I am not a bad guy and am not following some Saturday morning cartoon tier villain.
Honestly, it feels better to just go with the flow now rather than being a mountain against the wind. Made my Zandalari be a loyalist under Talanji alone and it honestly brings a certain perspective that I quite like to explore.
I’ve finally realised that ceaselessly complaining serves no-one because Blizzard won’t ever listen and the reddit outcries were only a rare thing to happen. It’s better to just…
Play and RP. Or in other cases, play different games in free time!
I always find something new to do in WoW. I don’t throw myself in the world of end-game content grinding because I know I can’t stand it, so I usually stick to leveling and using the social welfare gear system to keep my characters slightly geared.
It’s funny that Blizzard has actually proven that they can work together with the community really well if you take a look at Classic. They are using player feedback, and the community seems to be really happy with how Blizzard is going to release classic, with all these different content phases etc.
I mean, just take a look at the PvP announcement of yesterday. Generally well-received, although the community is still communicating what should be changed.
It’s harder to do so after bearing witness to how the previous round of this sort of story left the race I main leaderless for several RL years.
Hard to turn a blind eye to the pile of poop that gets on being piled at your door.
Switching from orc, to Troll, to Forsaken,…and the narrative seems to dog your steps.
Can bring myself to find solace with zero development if it’s followed by some other story that karate kicks the good out of the race I play.
Isolationism works only if you are untouched by the overarching crappy narrative.
Well, Brother Knight, one of the few good points of BfA is that we are not called the Scourge any more…even if our Forsaken members act like it…Speaking of - why do we let those psychopaths be in our ranks? Oh right…to ‘keep an eye on them’. I doubt any one of significance would mind if the crazier ones all disappeared mysteriously…you know.
