Do you have any plans of adding new race-class combinations for Retail like Worgen shaman or Nelf paladin?
Hey! New retail player here, have you guys considered adding Worgen Shamans in the future? It is my absolute class fantasy and I’ve been wishing for it to be announced for so long! If it’s not already sneakily in the works please consider this for the future to make RP lovers like me very happy
Will the new expansion launch with 8 dungeons and a raid?
Hello!
For Cataclysm Classic, we have concerns regarding our raid team moving from Wrath of the Lich King, any thoughts about QoL changes such as Flex Raiding or Personal Loot system for us who just want to enjoy doing the raid content without much of the hassle of dealing with a proper raid composition?
in some communities there is a discussion whether or not the 3days early access means we will be able to level up already. as in notes from an interview released on warcraft.wiki.gg there was said “no advantages”.
but being able to start 3 days before others to level up and not having to deal with - or with less - lag/login queues, can be an advantage for any player: you can directly dive into getting lvlcap gear on launch, or directly into crafting end level items, focus on alot of other stuff while others are battling the lag to get quests done to level up.
Can we get clarification on that?
tl;dr: does the 3 day earlier access from the epic version mean we can start levelling 3days before others?
Since it’s becoming increasingly dificult to maintain a 25+ roster to ensure you are able to raid mythic consistently, is there any plans to eventually enable flex size on mythic?
Even if group sizes different than 20 are not elegible for hall of fame?
Cata Classic questions:
Q1: Will LFR be excluded?
Q2: Will the modern retail models be available finally?
Q3: Will the old world be preserved like Vanilla Onyxia currently is (via Bronze Dragon NPC) or is it gone again completely (including stuff like old ZG/ZA)?
Q4: Will flex raiding be implemented or any other solution to avoid the weird split between 10 and 25 man raiding now that the loot is equal?
Q5: Will the item scaling be changed at all to allow Wrath ICC items to be relevant at least for the Cata early game (like it has been in previous Classic xpacs)
Q6: Will the full retail transmog system be available (without any restrictions like legendaries, armor/weapon types, and so on)?
Like really guys, you could’ve talked at least 10 minutes more about Cata. I know that won’t be nearly as hype as the new Retail stuff or Season of Discovery but c’mon.
Will there ever be an option to migrate an EU account to a US account? I started playing when I lived in Denmark, so I created an EU account. I’ve since relocated to the US. It’s difficult to find groups to do raids, mythic+, etc. due to the nature of time-zones. Alternatively, an option to keep all mounts, pets, titles, etc. across both regions would be a good start.
Can we expect the ongoing change of bringing more classes to all/more races ? In particular I’ve always wanted Forsaken and Night Elf Paladins (which both have existed in-game). Also will Calia Menethil (lightforged undead) have more story in TWW or do we have to wait a bit longer than that?
Will we ever be able to customize nailcolors?
The fact that there would be “#changes” in Cataclysm was said, but the Classic discussion panel really only talked about a Titan Rune-analogous system for dungeons and transmog using the better, more modern iteration.
In terms of other changes, it would be nice to hear a response on the following at some point if possible:
- LFR - I don’t hate this being in the game per se, but it dropping tier sets, trinkets, weapons etc made it feel next to mandatory for anyone serious about raiding. Will this be addressed in some way, such as sharing a lockout with the “proper” raid, changing the loot tables or some other way to avoid it becoming a weekly chore that must be completed?
- Heroic Dungeon difficulty - will this be kept in its pre-nerf state? Will the RFD allow queuing into this difficulty with random players?
- Deathwing encounter - I highly doubt I’d be alone in saying this was disappointing as an encounter. Has there been any thought on making some changes to ensure Dragon Soul feels as epic as it should have? Perhaps a final phase a la leggy Ragnaros, or as an additional encounter after Madness?
- Raid size - is the intention to stick with 10 and 25 as the raid sizes, with a shared lockout? Has there been any thought about bringing Flex raids forward at all?
- Void Storage - will this be in the game given the technical limitations are no longer there and transmog no longer requires keeping the item?
- Transmog - At what point will gear we’ve collected be “snapshot” for this system? Will it only be things we own once Cataclysm launches, or will anything we’ve had to date be tracked already?
- Reforging - I assume this will still be in the game? Will we rely on addons to do it for us, as we did before with Ask Mr Robot, or will there be better inbuilt functionality for it?
Many thanks - looking forward to revisiting the new old world next year!
Well, where to start.
I guess I’d like to ask; You have a whole community, and since we lack data and only got secondary data which seem to show that Classic(both Classic Era and Classic WoTLK) has bigger player bases than retail, where is the contact or reach with the community?
The past months and, or even years if you have read some, people have awaited news regarding the Classic+. You have now announced Cata+, even though this has never been a specific popular expansion, but rather the downfall of blizzard subscribers. Only thing people asked for was a vanilla version where you offered to add the content that was cut from classic before TBC released. Yet you announce things like a mobile game touching Warcraft, a PC-game manufacturer which have already gotten feedback from the community regarding Diablo: Immoral.
You may say; “Wait, Classic+ is coming! We’re making Season of Discovery!” Well. No, it’s a bad copy or version of the private server: Ascension. This is a niche and a thing that no one have asked for. The fanbase don’t want classes changed or the max level to be changed. We want our original world, with support from GM’s to combat cheating, botting and things that break the ToS which has been put onto the actual player to deal with.
We want the game to be prolonged in a way that doesn’t change the base of the game more than new dungeons, new items and raids that moves things in a wide aspect instead of a higher aspect. A few stat changes go a long way. Why has none of the conversations which has flooded the forums and reddit not been talked about at blizzcon?
Bonus: (still includes Warcraft) Where is news about Warcraft? Warcraft 3 Reforged for an example is still in shambles and is nothing like the original game. If you’re not going to update it, or re-instate it as it was back in the day. Is the game, that molded most of todays most popular games, just to be forgotten? For an example; TD, MOBA, your new mobile game; Hero Line Wars and etc.
Will we see a return of chen and lili stormstout exploring the world with us? Perhaps as seasonal explorers? Years have passed since we last saw them in warcraft time, would be sweet to see who they became in these years.
Return of Azshara and playable naga soon maybe?
Totally unserious questions. So, never mind that sword.
I’ve always wanted to know where Sargeras was leaning his left hand in that particular cinematic…?
Did “Sargeras’s hand” land on Eastern Kingdom? Or did it push the button that destroyed the mechanism that would have restarted the column that Stoney Boy had to climb? Or is there now another sink hole in the world that will allow for the Azj-Kahet Nerubians to “get out” into our world? Or did he kill a very dangerous sea creature (such as the Kraken on the Eastern Kingdoms map) that will now wash up onto the shores of Blasted Lands? Or did he cause a massive crack in the surface that caused Azeroth to be able to communicate with us?
It’s great to see that you are committing to cross realm mythic raiding and cross realm guilds - this will lift the recruitment woes of many.
We all know organised raiding can be one of the best parts of the WoW experience, yet a lot of new players bypass it - aside from LFR.
Do you have any other plans to encourage participation in organised raiding - signposting new players to the content and explaining what raiding is all about?
As a Fan of the Night Elf Wardens and roleplaying one I’m excited for the Wardens Armor to be available as soon as come January.
Will there be an Umbra Crescent Weapon to go with it? Maybe in that Months Trading Post, or as a Monthly Reward?
Thank you
Hi!
There is a huge collector community in WoW - especially when it comes to collecting mounts, and you add a lot of outdoor mobs with 1% chance to drop a mount every expansion with atleast 30-60 minutes spawn timer or even longer.
This makes it hard to get these mounts before the expansion ends and often for several expansions later(atleast if you enjoy several other parts of the game), making the mobs die pretty much instantly which then makes it hard to get a tag on the mob in time, so that hour you just spent camping becomes completely wasted time.
So I have two questions about this issue:
Have you had any discussions about making any improvements when it comes to this part of WoW, like some kind of bad luck protection-system? For example killing mobs that have a chance to drop a mount 100 times gives you 1 token that you can spend to get any of these 1% mounts of your choice.
Would you consider adding a damage/death/kill protection debuff to all these outdoor mobs that can drop a mount when they spawn for a few seconds so that everyone camping has a chance to tag the mob before it dies? I’m talking about a similar protection that the MoP world bosses have, or Huolon on the Timeless Isle.
Thank you for your time.
will we have WotLK classic era servers?
Super excited about the new expansion(s). All the changes and story sound great and well thought out. Only thing that bothered me is when I saw last night that players with the base edition only get to play 3 days late.
Meaning we lose my favourite moment of every expansion when everyone is standing together in the capital waiting for the boat/blimp/guy that’s going to ship us to a new world.
I also think there will be crazy amounts of peer pressure in guilds to get the premium edition and have 3 days more to gear your character.
I had no problem paying for this in a game like Diablo, but in WoW which is so community based, that seems like a horrible decision to me.
So here is the question: what do you think the impact of the 3 day delay will be for people getting the base edition?
Cataclysm:
Will there be the same loot in 10 and 25 man, like back then? This change ripped of most 25 man guilds in pieces and caused much tension in the community.
The needed roles shifted, much more tanks and less DPS was needed.
