Swifty NPC

holy moly his is even older then me …
talking about beeing old :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m saddened to see how many people here don’t know the one shot macro legend. =(

It’s not about if he warrants one, it’s about the fact that an existing one was removed based solely on an unproven accusation.
While the worst case in the entire accusation movement thing that happened this week, Method, Blizzard has yet to publicly denounce them, and we all know Method and Blizzard work together to organize a lot of tournaments.

It would definitely surprise me if the Swift allegations are true.
Method Josh was a freak. That’s why he was popular, it’s like a train wreck, people couldn’t look away. He was always off.

Some of the allegations on other streamers have already been proven false, or at least degraded to “he said vs she said” status. I just hope Swifty is one of those cases.

The main accusation against Swifty seems to be on that level already. However, I believe that there are others who have accused him of things so we’ll just have to see what happens. Innocent until proven guilty, but don’t ignore the victims either.

If anything, this just further proves the disconnection that the current Blizzard team have with the playerbase, because the originial/previous team knew the value in representing players who deserved recognition, like Swifty for all he has done for the community over the years and his general positive attitude and influence, as well as his wholesome personality.

What people seem to unfortunately misunderstand here and on another platform which name shall not be named (for sanity protection reasons) is that this is not a TOS, Code of Conduct or legal/law issue; this is more of a basic human principles issue, because out-right removing an icon’s tribute NPC over allegations / accusations before the verdict, is mimicking on a virtual level what the radical left are doing to statues in an attempt to change history, when you really think about it.

It was just a small Pandaren child named Swifty, nothing lore breaking really.
Swifty did a lot to promote WoW, basically gave Blizzard free advertising, and he was not toxic in the least bit, really warm and cool guy.

ok boomer. when they add some dictator in 2025 on wow to cater to customers dont come here crying ;0

By the way, I’m not saying that everyone who promotes WoW deserves an NPC, far from that.

Some cheap attempts of trolling, who is Swifty…
Being ignorant dosent make you smart, it just makes you stupid.

what next ? They going to delete Sylvana statue for undead area ? :frowning:

Some people don’t really know him.

i knew him only since Legion, meanwhile i started to play since cataclysm.

He’s not that much popular. And it’s not because it’s very known to some people that some people don’t know him.

Even if he got a NPC to his name

I have been playing WoW since 2007 and I have never heard of Swifty before.

I don’t know what I just watched but it made my eyes bleed…

I didn’t know who he was at first, but the name rang a bell… possibly he was one of the streamers that got banned at somepoint? I recall lots of threads on the forums when various streamers got a ban and players were objecting…

Edit: Ah yes, 2011… “Free Swifty” was a frequent thread.

Yeah its the radical left who have been trying to change history and not the far right (fascists)… Lets not mention all the pseudo science that is flooding from the right side. Also there is a reason as to why the most intelligent human being who ever walked this earth leaned to the left (Democritus, the forefather to Science).

“History is written by the winners.”
― Napoleon Bonaparte

That is the sole reason to why mass murderers even have statues to begin with.

A good example on the left vs right wing, when Stalin died he was revealed for the brutal mass murderer he truly was almost immediately by the left wing. If he had been a right wing leader, his statues would still be up as of today. And people like you would still probably celebrate his day.

It’s not really uncommon for businesses to pull support like this even based on allegations. If it turns out to be true, they obviously don’t want to be known as the company who supported a lowlife.
He’s not making any money, or getting anything out of an NPC in a game, so it’s not a huge loss. Once it all blows over and IF the accusations turn out to be false, there’s a good chance he’ll be added back. They just have to cover their bases.

Are you kidding me, Ãnna, Cro and Shammoz. Show some damn decency and dont literally bully someone what is wrong with you, especially you Shammoz. Sad that you are so negative and rude that you resort to bullying people you dislike, really speaks volumes when the replies are just toxicity fuelled trolls regarding someone who has done so much for the community get hated on and blizzard will not even comment on it.

What did Shammoz say that qualified as bullying?

That is what I was wondering

you don’t know blizzard much do you?

Even if there’s a 0.001% chance that someone somewhere would say something controversial about their company, they immediately act.

But even if the entirety of community shouts about something, they’ll ignore it for a few months at minimum.

Welcome to blizzard’s world. Swifty’s just another case of potential problem. So it’s better to cut all connections instead of waiting to see if he even did anything or not.
