Sylvanas returns

After everything she has done. You still want her happy ending? How come?

Zero hype or interest. It felt like there was too much of her in the story at one point.

The burning of Teldrassil was a cruel and pointless act. Holding the city hostage as a tactical move would have made more sense and a better story imo.

It is hard to feel empathy for a character portrayed as a victim, when they have taken pleasure in creating their own victims.

Plus if she comes back, does that mean Nathanos will be back too ? :grimacing:

Not perse. This could just be Sylvanas featured in flashbacks and such; since part of the story will deal with the elves.

But if ‘current Sylvanas’ is brought back; meh. I’m not upset about it, but it doesn’t make me enthusiastic either. I’m pretty apathetic about her.

Teh Kween is baaaack

I do not like her buy i think even though she has had enough screen time she deserve’s a better ending then the maw.

there a difference between teh kween and nathanos.

Only the his soul is in the maw. The body is destroyed since Tyrande killed him.

Teh kween still has her body

Too many God damn Redemption stories in this game, it’s honestly getting stale.

I think this is quite a good theory of what could happened to her character.
Or maybe she will warn Alleria about the void in the new dungeon… or perhaps she manage to gather information about the known powers of Death in the Maw and be a real threat to Xal (unlike us that we have been falling for her tricks multiple times, the Hero’s of Azeroth they say).

I didn’t particularly enjoy the full redemption act of Sylvannas if I’m honest. I’m skeptical about her “new story” and character.

But, I’ll wait and see if Blizzard manage to build an interesting follow up to her lore.
All in all, in order to reply this question I must have more information than what we all currently have.

You have to remember I was a loyalist. I would do anything for my Queen.

I’m astounded where they went with it but it doesn’t change my feelings for Sylvanas. It was very annoying in BfA not to be able to slaughter all her enemies for her. But she kept telling me to let it go and let the story unfold.

considering how they keep bringing it up when asked about her in the same sentence I think its just going to be a dungeon memory/echo/ghost.

I’ll believe an actual return of her character when I see it.

short answer: No
long answer: she was defanged at the end of shadowlands and her character has taken a rather disappointing turn towards a lackluster and unearned redemption, I’ve lost any interest in exploring her development in the story any further unless they can pull some really good and unexpected out of the hat.

lol… Blizzard just can’t let her go. Gotta keep “bringing” her back in ever more ridiculous storylines.

Lets hope she doesn’t destroy Silvermoon like she did Undercity. Her only talent.

Shes a Windrunner sister, basically one of the main characters of the entire series with how much they get invovled with.

Yeah. Like Vareesa gets mentioned all the time.

But shes not going to sell expansions is she, nor is she a dev’s darling.

And lets hope Vareesa is somewhat more competent as a “commander” than Sylvanas is.

Face it. Sylvanas always as. Always is. And always be, protected by the thickest plot armour in videogames. Devs just cant bear to see her dead completely. Even if every other single thing on Azeroth was to die tomorrow, she’d still be there whining about Arthas or how she’s just trying to save her Forsaken.

Knowing Vareesa she would probably initate a purge of Silvermoons horde elves if she thought she could get away with it.
Somehow between Alleria and Sylvanas, that one is more blood thristy.

Tbh I want her back. She is my favorite character and I know people had enough of her but that’s on Blizz. she did not deserve a horrible story ark that happened after Legion and it is clear this is not how her character was built up, they just did a 180 and ruined her.

On that we can agree.
I don’t care for her personally, but Shadowlands did her dirty, as it did many other characters.

strongly against it, i feel her personality is ruined beyond repair, just can’t stand her anymore.

I think funny things will happen like; people will still treat her like she did all those wrongs even now that her soul has been rejoined (its a bad reason to not hold people accountable to their actions) while blizzard will try to write her as this newly restored Sylvanas that is a source for good that shouldn’t be blamed for her (or I guess half of her) past.

She’ll likely not be the Sylvanas we know, that Sylvanas is gone, reverted to I guess you could say the personality she had in those 2 to 3 warcraft 3 missions before she got raised as a banshee + the angst of discovering that the nightmare you had about you being horrible to your best friend? that wasn’t a nightmare that actually happened.

I’m also curious what we saw there at the end of Shadowlands, is Sylvanas alive and with a restored body? she was in her own body already which she had recovered as a banshee, how come it looks alive now? did a ressurection take place or were we just looking at an expression of her soul?
