That's a new low point Activision Blizzard

I think there is nothing revolutionary in there that could had come from an increase in funding.
I just see the new SL versions of “artifacts” “Legionaries” and Azerite traits and “essences”.

It makes sense. It’s nice to have some combined bargaining power, but it can also be detrimental. Leave the org if you don’t like it and make sure to inform your potential employer under the negotiations that you come with reduced risk.

I think it’s fairly hard to do some revolutionary in a 15 yr old game.
Shadowlands looks nice, the zones are great (I think it’s much better than this expansion, and I loved the zones even in BFA)
Mission table is improved a lot, but it’s not ready yet so we will see.
New systems looks good, some nice utilities down the line, etc… idk what more do I want even. Maybe arcane mage rework.

Yes, this is what will most probably happen. In fact in the long run unions will only give me more bargaining power, so I hope it happens.

This isn’t just an old game. It’s a huge MMO with a very well established lore and setup. You can do a lot of things if you’re willing to invest.

With all due respect I think the best improvement for mission tables would had been to stop doing them.

by stealing from hard working more succesfull people

like any communist before him .

Exactly. when i was young i use to think world is tough because my parents told me. But after some years i came to the conclusion that there is really good hearted people out there who put their heart in what they do and come up with solutions that benefits the company and HIS PEOPLE. There is many heartless companies run by bunch of idiots who think they have their game figure it out by going the easy route, its not common for people to punish these companies specially if they are too big, its very rewarding and easy business practice, but believing that everyone is like this naive, if you have heart you do what you got to do without forgeting the people that supported you!

I disagree, I think the new one is really fun. But maybe it won’t be after 1 yr, but who knows?

They tried Islands and Warfronts in BFA, not really worked out. It’s one thing to have established lore, but that only means you can tell stories. Which is questing mostly.

They revamped levelling, which is also some nice thing to do, I wouldn’t call that revolutionary but it’s nice for new players (with Exile’s Reach on top of that).

I played with lots of MMORPGs but most of them are the same, there aren’t really any unique idea in them that WoW should implement. Maybe Guild Halls or player housing but those would have some issues in the long run as well.

ye this is something i dont really get.

why do people feel entitled to eat in caffeteria.

or why they need to do it.

i mean i have more money then needed for eating daily in luxury restaurants yet for 2nd breakfest/lunch i eat usually either sandwich made at home or simple bun with joghurt. and then eat dinner at home after work

i mean we are talking about office workers - they need what 1,8-2k calories a day ? do they really need to eat expensive lunches at work ?

Which is pretty much the same thing I always have done, make food at home or buy food from a local store and eat it at work.

A lot cheaper, I decide how it is prepared and I also can grab my food and take a walk a lot quicker than having to deal with all the cafetaria nonsense.

Personally I could not find any fun in waiting for my minions to do veeeery slowly the things I would do in a few min.
Especially if the things the tables give are related to progression, quality of life and important items you cannot get otherwise.

PS: I forgot to say that I did not like grinding the currency for the mission tables either.

I tried to come back with a smart idea but I couldn’t. Perhaps you’re right. Perhaps the age of MMO games is long gone.

But there is room for improvement, that’s for sure. There is core issues that could be fixed.

There is a new MMORPG out there tho, which I consider revolutionary, called Ashes of Creation. However it still needs some years to release, and most likely they couldn’t do things like that in WoW with the old engine.

(the idea behind that game is that the player’s create their own cities, villages, elect their own majors, etc… so the players build their own world and raids / dungeons would appear based on that… so for example 100 players could go together and build a city where they want, so every world/realm would look different. )

was saddened a bit by this story, but not really surprised. if companies have the opportunity to underpay their employees and still fill their positions, they will.

It’s not really revolutionary, it’s more a very well designed mix between a sandbox and theme park mmo. I’ll probably try it, but I’ve learned to not get hyped too easily.

Which is debatable, just look at the countless of MMO’s where developers came with all these great promises but never were able to deliver and/or the game just wasn’t that great and died down after the initial hype.

So I’m pretty sceptical about the whole idea and will wait for the release to see what people’s thoughts are over a longer period of time. If they even manage to deliver what they promise.

On topic though: It’s easy to compare an ‘indie developer’ to an long-standing company that is currently under the wing of a big corporation like Activision.

The developers of AoC have all the freedom to do whatever the heck they want, like Blizzard did in the early days as they don’t(didn’t) have a big corporation looming over their shoulders and breathing down their necks.

there has been so many of those revolutionary mmorpg over the years and yet most struggle to keep more then 5k people playing it.

AoC will be another one of those while WoW will have stable playerbase tomorrow and 10 years from now on.

because if people invested 16 years of their lives you can bet they will invest another 10.

I know that, and still I find out exciting and hope it will succeed. But I never said it will be a WoW killer.

That explains the writing quality we have nowadays. You get what you pay for. Cheapest writers = Cheapest lore!
