Dark Irons is the only way. I mean, look at me.

On a serious note, Dark Irons are just overall better dwarves, since current dwarves are just funny goofballs with accent. More dark and moody vibes, awesome firey hairstyles (both for male and female), pretty interesting lore behind them (especially relationships with elementals since DIs were Ragnaros slaves at some point). And also they have one of the coolest and strongest racials in the entire game (mole machine is massive additional teleport and fireblood is nuts both in PvP and PvE (when used correctly).

Pick DI. You’ll not regret it.

I think you should choose the shaman race based on their totems. Whose do you like best?

It stayed at Male Dwarf vs Female Draenei, at the end. I am a bit more interested in Dwarves (regular - Wildhammer type) because I am looking at shamanism with more primitive way (real ghost wolf form, leatherworking, skinning, herbalism professions, simple transmog look, decent amount of mount options, etc.). They are also universal and viable in all 3 specializations. Draenei are totally opposite of it, since they are more intelligent, oriented to technology and have different approach to shamanism (vulpine form, enchanting/jewelcrafting, etc.). They are more mage-style oriented to it, which is not bad for exploring and experimenting .

Both races have good animations, totems, transmogs, but think dwarves have a bit better lore. Maybe not better but more fitting to me.

Lore: orcs. With no doubt.
Totems: draenei or bidwarves

I’d go dwarf then. It’s true some mogs look really good on Draenei though as the elemental visuals really fit them. The primal looking mogs look great on dwarves and orcs. Also, dwarves have better racials if that means anything to you :wink:

Genuinely; make a pandaren shaman.

Play the starter zone.

If after that you don’t feel like it is a shamanistic race, fair enough, but do yourself the favour of giving it that chance. IMO it is a better shaman origin than any other starter zone :smile_cat:

Personally, I am not a massive fan of female pandaren lightning bolt animations. Everything else is pretty good :smile_cat:

I am going with male dwarf. But a bit later I will probably make one more on horde side, just for fun and to experience the other side of the story. So will go female Maghar Orc, unless they announce some really fun for the new expansion :slight_smile:

We aren’t getting any new races for DF (other than Dracthyr) if that’s what you mean.

Who knows what will happen in the future though.
