The childization of WoW might possibly really be the final nail to the coffin for the game

Save yourself some stress and aggrevation and worry less about things that aren’t happening and are not that likely to happen.
There is plenty of time for hysteria if and when those really bad changes do actually happen.

Keep in mind that LGBT community is dictating to us what is flirting and what is not. This is brainwashing. On top of that, they are going to decide instead of us what we should do and what is rude and what is not rude.

That is tyranny. And on top of that, they are going to say how they are making “friendly environment for everyone” and they do that by removing values for most people.

Have to wonder though, how will this change impact ““content creators””? Being unable to spit on people using store mounts is surely an outrage :no_mouth:

It’s Blizz Devs that are doing this off their own back and apparently no pressure from the community or political pressure.

As you highlighted this game came out back in 2004 (i started playing in OG end of vanilla launch of OG TBC)

So I am one of those players that was attracted to this game for the fantasy. Now current Blizz are tearing down the foundation of Blizz because it hurts their feelings…

Meanwhile other games have a lot more risky content in their games because the playerbase likes it.

Honestly it’s mind boggling Blizz are trying to torpedo their own IP just for virtue points on Twitter.

Yes they are devs themselves, there is no pressure or anything. They released a statement about it. “This is what we want as devs, no one wants it except us, we don’t care”. People like the one under ;

Yes and that is one of the reasons why other games on rise while this one keeps going down.

Minding US nutrition habits, it might very well be reality…

WoW isn’t labelled gore nor horror. So, what exactly do you expect? If you go for violence and shock factor probably games like Diablo or CoD are a better choice?

World of Warcraft has been a family game very much tbh. There are up to three generations in one household playing it. And latest since Mists of Pandaria with its Farmerama mini game in the Valley of Four Winds or even earlier with Pokémon like pet fights and child friendly seasonal content like Hallow’s End, the game has a certain fluff factor. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to create a natural duality with high-end content like dungeons being more meant for adults but easy casual stuff being directed to younger people. They basically did so already.

I guess all those big macho men that hate WoW now, haven’t seen the Night Fae covenant on a male Tauren. It’s flamboyantly gay and it’s great.

Whoah whoah whoah, when did 21 become an ‘old middle aged man’? Jaysis, at 21 you’ve only been an adult for three years or so over here…I’m 47 and have only just now come to terms with describing myself as middle aged! 21 year old me would have laughed in your face and carried on with my sybaritic lifestyle if told they were an old middle aged man!

I mean, I’m -middle aged- now, but I’m not an ‘Old man’ yet, despite how I joke about it!

Same as, but then I think we’re the same age roughly… My childhood was a cross between being a Geordie Mowgli, Lord of the Flies, re enacting the D-Day landings and then going “ooh, computers? What are they all about then?”

All went downhill from there…It was like the ‘gateway’ into D&D, and LARP…

Ah’m from Newcassil man, yer not even a wee boy until they’ve christened you with a half pint of broon dog!

This however is also true…I mean look at a lot of the films, John Hughes stuff, American kids were desperate to get their hands on booze before it was legal and became ‘allowed’, same way as kids in the UK always lie about their age to try and get served in pubs, or hang around outside shops waiting for an adult to approach and go “Eyy, spar, can you go inside and get us four tinnies and a packet of tabs, here’s the cash”

I will admit, every time I see the ‘Woke’ word, I do form a judgment of the person using it. Not a favourable one.

Aww come on man, what situation -doesn’t- need 5 teenagers and a cartoon Great Dane to work it out? Not Scrappy Doo though, he was an abomination…

That is such a bad argument it is untrue. “Things in the past…” Really sure you want to take that route to describe what displeases you about a badly depicted picture of a woman in the nuddy being replaced by fruit? Seriously? If you already have, all of that stuff, disease, undead and gore, are you for one moment seriously saying, that the removal of a badly defined image of a naked woman is the deal breaker here?

I mean for goodness sake, if you’re a teenager, you probably have a pretty good idea of what a naked woman would look like. If you’re -older- than that, you pretty much -certainly- have an idea of what a naked woman looks like. So what difference does it make? Seriously? What difference does it make? By the time you are sexually active, you will already know that women don’t look like that (Real women, not pixelated for a start) and so what Gods Damned Difference does it make if they change the picture?

I mean seriously, it is -such- a non-issue, that has blatantly been inflamed by some of the weirder segments of the gaming community, when nobody would really have cared. Nobody would have given a damn, or noticed, until some angry types started screeching about censorship. No one would have even noticed, except for these people screeching about Wokeism or whatever, so they made an issue of…really…nothing?

I was just wondering that…I must be practically Methuselah…

You mean you weren’t? I still remember first rock I lived under, luxury, luxury I tell you, but nothing like the rocks t’kids get today…

Any good? Not seen it yet, but heard good things… if you liked that, you’ll probably love ‘Dunkirk’ if you haven’t already seen it.

That’s weird, because I was just speaking to a Gay mate last night, and he knew nothing of this weird agenda…or -did- he? Also, you think LGBT people don’t flirt? Seriously? Have you never been to a gay bar? That would be an eye opener for you, to be sure…

No, it’s not actually, you may want to look up that word. I mean I’ll save you the bother…Cruel and Oppressive rule.

I mean there are cruel and oppressive regimes in our world, but they tend to be ones punishing LGBT people…

Fun fact…know how many countries there are in the world where Straight relationships are illegal or punished?

0

Can you say the same for LGBT relationships?

No. Thought not.

Or bought the Orc set from the Garrison, or visited the Leather Harness vendor in the Valley of Honour in Orgrimmar, Or even played WoW, They’d never recover, the poor flowers. Pixels make them question themselves…

We don’t flirt, we don’t even talk.
We are all celibate.
Our agenda is to desexualise the world.

We weren’t living under rocks. We had to figure out / tune / improve our home technology on our own in order to do what today gets served to kids like baby milk. We had to use pur BRAIN to participate in what is called the digital world. WE created it. They profit from what we’ve created. Big difference.

And you are plotting with blacks and feminists to do so, don’t forget that. As we’re on it, I’d like to request info on date and time for our next Puritan meeting. You have any details?

Sounds like I should watch the movie.

Is that a typo?

And here we have the Geordie version of Monty Python’s ‘The Four Yorkshiremen’ sketch :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Fun fact - parts of ‘Dunkirk’ was filmed in my hometown of Weymouth (it played a big part in the actual D-Day landings)

I have, many years ago. Me and a couple of mates were in a pub next to the hotel where rock dinosaurs Status Quo were staying. Even when the patrons realised we weren’t of the same persuasion, they still chatted with us, had a few games of pool - a couple were even going to aforementioned Quo concert. Great fun in that boozer

most conspirators do not talk openly about their schemes. the most dangerous conspiracies are the ones you never hear about

Not really. It is effectively painting over the game’s past, or at the very least rewriting it.
Scarlet Monastery used to be four wings of a dungeon, now it’s two wings with the dungeons being stitched together. How many people not playing Classic would know that otherwise?
Besides, if you don’t realize the hypocrisy in taking out any form of smut but leaving the cartoonishly grimdark storytelling, then you’re hopeless.

Nah. Not a deal breaker. Just another reason for me to not want to play the game, and a point of mockery at Blizzard who think that they’re somehow fixing their internal strife by messing with things no one outside of a select few weirdos thought was a “Problematic feature”

Sure, it is a “Non-issue” on paper, but it is just a symptom of where the game’s direction might be heading, or just what the developer’s priorities are.
“We have a game that no one really wants to play and we’re losing subscribers all the while not addressing people’s concerns? Let’s make sure to take out anything related to sexuality while not telling anyone about it.”

There’s a reason why the Blue Post discussing this was met with mockery, no one’s a fan of this.

First I heard of it was through a Youtuber I often watch. He was laughing his pants off at the before and after photo of the woman turned into a bowl of fruit.
Truly, the “Weirder side of the gaming community”, people laughing their pants off while noting how ridiculous it is to do change things that were in the game for many years that no one was bothered about, all the while having serious internal problems.

People were bound to notice at some point one way or another, stop acting as if “Angry weirdos” were the ones who revealed this.
In fact it was Dataminers who posted the findings to begin with which lead to mixed reactions, why aren’t you getting annoyed with them for revealing this stuff in the first place, or do you only care about people’s reactions to it and are upset that they didn’t react more positively?

Then again, I wouldn’t expect any different from someone who is a terrible person.

Hmm… At this point. Blizz might as well up the PG from 12 to sixteen… Todays 12 year olds don’t play that much MMO anymore and they could always bypass it anyway if they really wanted to  Although I’d always want it to be a safe enviorment and game to play for the youngest players…

But what was considered fair and ‘‘safe’’ yesterday has changed.
Either that or you know… This is just Blizzard adressing the Lawsuit most likely. :eyes:

While this is about youtube censorship I feel this can be translated over to how WoW players feel about these recent changes. Emotes and flirts and all

You assume I am white then? How novel.
I am all the boxes ticked, my friend.
