Since the release of the 11.1.5 Cooldown Manager feature, we’ve been listening to your feedback and are excited to share several planned improvements. These updates will enhance functionality, customization, and ease of use. We aim to consistently iterate and improve on the Cooldown Manager, and these enhancements will be included in future World of Warcraft updates.
“Big Defensive Tracking” is nice, but why stop at defensive cooldowns?
Currently, the addon “BigDebuff” also lets you track offensive CDs used by your team mates, which is valuable information as well. You can pick and choose which abilities you’d like to track, it’s very convenient. Honestly, can you guys just copy-paste this addon entirely? It’s perfect as it is.
Still, I welcome any update that brings us closer to a world without addons.
Thank you.
This looks actually good. i hope we still can get all the info we have now someday, but this is a promising start.
Looks good, but what about ability to customize personal resource display and make it work with cooldown manager - you can’t have one without the other.
Ngl this Looks nice
Great update! I’d definitely be using the sound alert feature!
Great work with this!
Two things that I think are lacking and did not see mentioned in the post:
- The ability to track buff stacks as bars. There are many buffs with long duration that only care for their stacks (like MSW). It would be good to be able to track those stacks like a bar.
- The other thing is making buffs for hidden trackers. We currently have big procs (like tempest for stormbringer) that are completely untrackable, but really important. It would help to have a buff with your progress so you do not NEED WAs for those abilities.
When will we get a way to track if guardian spirit has procced or not natively?
Cool, nice changes.
It looks better than before, but the biggest thing I didn’t find in the post is the ability to display cooldowns as shapes (Forst mage Fingers of frost style), because many people, including myself, don’t like having everything in the form of icons or bars.
Because of this, and the lack of many customization and tracking options, WA is still more suitable for me.
This looks very good! As I’ve been a big WeakAura hater myself, I’ve always felt like I’m actively handicapping myself playing Feral without them.
I see that there’s no snapshot tracking though, which is probably the most important WeakAura for Ferals. Can this also make it into this update, very pretty please?
It doesn’t have to 100% mimic the existing implementations, but at least something to be able to tell what snapshots are on the target?
Whish it would actually show your Cooldowns, half the classes are missing their major CDs and sometimes when you zone into a dungeon the entire feature breaks.
I am playing without any addons too.
This staring to look promising.
Question though, pandemic windows is in but what about snapshoting?
Bloodtalons and Tiger’s Fury are essential for Feral to track when refreshing DoTs.
Please integrate the buffs and debuffs into the actionbar: https://i.imgur.com/9vspefI.mp4
I don’t actually need 95% of the cooldown manager, I already got my actionbars. I don’t want to see the icons twice.
player made customizations is what makes th is game unique and so engaging. To see it go would be cutting off your arm.
Work on CDM is always welcome. Customisation is great.
But please, please have people who know the specs do the initial set up that you get when turning it on for the first time. If the first impression is that it doesn’t track enough, or overloads people with useless info, that is a massive miss.
And don’t just… put the 12 most important buttons in the middle of the screen in a horizontal row. We can move our action bars for literally that effect. CDM needs to be providing features we can’t get from the base UI, not replicating buttons to somewhere more convenient.
So this finish after 11.2. patch, right?
I mean like 11.2.2 or 11.2.5.
Blizzard dont want you tracking other peoples CDs. In fact they have said that they plan to break the addons that provide that feature.
Ngl, these changes look good. With these changes live, it would be enough for me to ditch WeakAuras. So, yeah, I’m looking forward to it.
