Same.
That and apparently have Bee-themed alts is a dead giveaway.

Who wouldâve thought.
Speaking as a middle-earth fangirl generally, I thought it was okay overall. It had and have some issues. Most of it being inconsistencies which stems from a mixture of really cramped storylines(The events in the show takes place over hundreds, if not thousands of years in the book). But also things like that they didnât have the full rights to its source-material(They had the rights to the appendixes of Return of the King, but not to Silmarillion, which is the setting).
It was also heavily compared to Peter Jacksons films(which also took massive liberties with the source material), and you also had a substantial crowd who just hated that there was PoC and or women actors in the show).
I wouldnât call the show great, and I think it fell flat on the elven parts. But Disa, the original character was fantastic, so was Elrond and Durin and the dwarves. Sauron was also very well-handled.
Probably a 6/10. or 7/10. Excited to see how they do S2!
Tell us youâve never read the books without telling us.
Iâve read them extensively, and the only two books I donât actually own by him is âTales of Tom Bombadilâ and âLetters for Santaâ.
But go ahead and be sweaty and stinky if that makes you happy.

Uhm ACTUALLY the book was better!
Are you trying to speedrun every dislikeable internet stereotype?
I find it funny that I even pointed out the(some atleast) inconsistencies from the book and show, and he still thinks that because I enjoyed it, I never read them.
i had hard time to settle cuz different actors and stuff and teh new story kinda⊠i dont the elf lady quest was a bit dumb in my opinion most of the time was to show how cool she really is. they left out a lot of important thigns added some unecessary if i have to rate it ill give it a 3/10⊠Hobbit triology was best you cant change my mind out of all
Mans never heard of criticising some choices but still being able to like something despite ones personal dislikes or gripes ![]()
Apparently I donât read any source material for any adaptations ever bc I like adaptations (Like Jacksonâs LOTR movies)
The thing with Galadriel, the elf, lady, is that most of what she does in the show was in the book done by other characters(Mainly FĂ«anor, who is a massive douchebag). Galadrielâs character arc during the second age and RoP setting can be summarized too âShe was hanging out with her husbandâ, and didnât do much of note.
I understand why they did the changes partially, even if some of them didnât land and work. But overall I enjoyed it personally!

This forum has gotten me through a lot of train rides, work days and dog walks.
Like we all do.
Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeerd.
He did nothing wrong, Teleri/most of Noldor/his son/Valar/anyone else I forgot deserved it and I will hear no more slander about the war crime elf!
Saying that, Maedhros is better.
You are now legally obligated to say his Quenya name.
I didnât enjoy it very much. Not for the stereotypical anti-woke reasons (most of the cast, for their part, did an excellent job), but because it was plain old boring. There were a couple of good moments, Iâll admit, though it was an absolute drag to get to those. And there were far too many loopholes!
I realize this has nothing to do with the topic, but thatâs fine.
(And while weâre here: Their depiction of the Numenorians wasnât the best imho: Turning their story from an ancient race of humans falling from grace over jealousy of Elven immortality , into âElves r gunna take muh jobs!â was a bit O.o. No depth whatsoever!)
I hated the hair.
