I could see it happen, most big video game publishers are really Capitalist with a big C.
Doesn’t matter if the company is chinese, japanese, european or american.
And they’re easily the most profitable games with the least amount of work.
Then we got Microsoft, who atleast on the surface, looks like they’ve begun to care more about actual games. They’ve had some ok succeses so far.
Microsoft really lacks in the mobile department after their windows phone failure, and since then, they seem to have switched to working on their OS and windows ecosystem instead.
Which could benefit from high profile titles like WoW.
Well i guess WoW isn’t pop culture anymore. Once asked my 10-13 year old nephews who also game a bit, if they knew what World of Warcraft was. Both of them said nope.
They play CoD and Fifa, F1 primarily.
