nobody said it’s dying , it’s much worse. It’s boring.
WoW was dying in WoD , I had fun in WoD.
See the difference ?
my main account password is too long so I decided to bump in on this alt instead.
No ground mounts from start was a huge mistake but pandora’s box is open now blizzard cannot undone the damage it caused or will cause in the future. World is pointless atm it is just an instanced arcade game
Its not just the game that doesnt feel epic anymore - i’m afraid its life in general as you get older . . .
It’s the storytelling and lack of quality RPG. We have lost so many great characters and the dark story-humor within years.
Legion was the beginning of the end and BFA-Shadowlands were the last nail on the coffin. Game has gained so many positive QoL updates, yet lost its origin in return.
No wonder Why Classic ERA still gets more Hype.
“Ofc this is just my opinion and how I feel about the game right now”
Nostalgia is a powerful thing.
Don’t worry. Once enough years have passed and your memory discards the moments of boredom, this expansion will feel as epic as the other ones.
Give it time.
The truth is that Microsoft have told Blizzard to start speeding the process up. The cycle of content will be released at a much speedier pace. This inevitably will mean a reduced ambition for the longevity of content. You can sense the wind of change even now. What is also interesting is the mood swing toward releasing content that they seemed pretty set against in the past, like Classic and player housing. I seriously believe that the formula content is going to mean a much heavier recycling of that old nostalgia, in the hope it sparks a continued warmth for the game to keep playing.
I don’t think the epic feel of the game has anything to do with the ageing process. TWW is as shallow as it gets. I wasn’t able to sense any sense of epic scale in any of my adventures levelling five to 80. It was so predictable as to make the whole process as un-epic as you can imagine. And I don’t think there has been any effort to create the grand spectacle. It really is a dull affair.
It has been hard not to want to kick the thing into gear. I love this game but even for me a great plodder I have been often overtaken by the snailpace of the game. Sadly the celebration patch hasn’t helped at all. My feeling on the game right now is much like what happened to Marvel and Disney last year. It really has lost its way, big time.
Maybe it’ll pick up temp and give the game some much needed ooomph. I doubt it. The early release of detail of the next expansion suggests they are going to promote a big bag of goodies in the hope folk hang around. Sadly player housing aint epic. If you want epic watch the moment the Lich King plunges his sword into the ice . Chilling ’ I tell you this for when my days have come to an end… you shall be king '. Now that was epic.
They tried that, they have repeatedly sucked at it.
Then they tried more carefree with DF and… they sucked at that as well.
All in all, they need to take a good hard look at their writing leads.
or maybe you are just burned out .take a break and come back when you feel like it . the game is going nowhere
People are way too obsessed with the sword.blizz we’re playing a long game with it that now coming to fruition. Bfa had consequences with the sword. Df was supposedly about the world healing
