The good, the bad and the ugly of Affixes

Why dont people just have friends, let’s be honest, nearly everyone have a mage at some lvl, the food scales, get your friends to log mage, make the food, ezpz … what we do … We have Lock and mage ready to log in just to give HS and food.

I have a mage friend at max level i do m+ with

Doesn’t mean everyone does

Also gj quoting me xd

That’s my point, the mage doesn’t have to be max, mages get what, conjure food at like lvl 40? works just aswell on a 120 since it’s % based.

Yea, the quoting messed up a bit.

Yeah but im pretty sure it works differently as you get a new mage food every few levels?

Made me giggle xd

Nope, not anymore

Ah, I see you’ve no clue on how to deal with this Affix. As I explained it’s it’s extremely easy if handled correctly. Sure, it’s going to cost time, which is a lot less time than it would cost if you did it wrong. And having a DPS who knows how to handle it makes things a lot easier. Alas I see many tanks who like you have no idea how to deal with it and does everything wrong, so for those weeks I go tank because then I’ve a better chance to make it easier to deal with it.

Because it’s worth and this is the reason you ask mages within your guild and such.

When it was numbers based, now that it’s percentage baed there’s no difference anymore. And regaining 5% pr. 3 sec is astoundingly good when you’re affected by Grievous since you when eating it alone can negate the effect completely, no healing needed from outside sources. You’re unable to do that with normal food when you’ve four stacks of it.

Im a healer & tank main i am pretty sure i know more than some melee dps about sanguine lol

Try tank 1 dungeon with sanguine at high keys, you’re gonna wanna f**king wanting to die after that, its just annoying to most tanks

Which none in pugs seem to know making it difficult

Eh, only good point you’ve made this entire thread

F**king furies ( badum tsh )

The first is related to the last. I have immense issues in pugs and none in guild runs. Which makes the Affix a pebcak issue instead of an Affix issue.

Eh fair enough

But either way its a pain if you tank

From the way you say this, it sounds like you run without enemy health bars enabled. I have and I’ve no issue as when a mob is about to die I move the rest.

Its just a pain having to move adds every 2 freaking secounds

BUTT its necrotic week! Puts on tanking shield and sword :3

It’s a lot more of a pain never to move them :stuck_out_tongue:

That is true …

Moral of the story : I shouldnt use the fact your a dps against you

Because you could go tank & test my patience D:

Indeed. I switch depending on what Affixes there are some are considerably easier with a DPS who knows how to handle them and others are easier with a tank who knows how to handle them. This week is defo the former as one Affix is Raging. Last time I tanked that the DPS used AoE only and got four mobs enraged a the same time. At that point, I had no CDs since I’d used them earlier to survive and was obliterated.

I tank when its not sanguine

Heal when its not quaking

Dps if both are at once xd

That’s fair.

Tsja…

I prefer to tank every time, even on skittish and necrotic week. So much more control over how the run goes.
If i have to pick a time to switch, is for bursting.

Skittish is a minor annoyance unless your monkieboi

Necrotic is fun, sure theres moments where its unfair with adds having speed hacks & can just jump you to refresh it, but its an overall fun affixes to deal with in my opinion

Quaking and sanguine though …

I hit burnout after 2/4 bosses down in 1 dungeon
