How about something not connected to the titans at all.
IMO titans are linked to Order (Arcane Realm) and this is Death realm so no connection at all.
It is suspected that Azeroth is the titan of creation, while Gaia is the titan that basically created everything, so that is not too far fetched.
Titans are no longer top dogs of warcraft lore. Titans were afraid of Void Lords from Void Realm… Void Lords are afraid of something from Death realm. Titans are only a creatures from Order Realm.
The idea of the Void lords have been retconned several times. If you remember we actually killed one rather easily in Outland, in the Netherstorm questline.
Now Void Gods are the new lords.
