It still sucked and shouldn’t ever have been a thing. Legit made me want to back to FFXIV just like in Legion with the stupid essences and how they were acquired, especially having to PVP.
DF is alright

BFA sucked, but Mechagon and Nazjatar were good

I think DF would’ve been better with a GOOD borrowed power system (like artifact weapons were). Each to their own.
I enjoy long term goals and always having something to play for and/or work towards.

I do think too that DF miss some of those long term goal we had in the previous expansion. It could have been only cosmetic based, but at least having it would have been nice. The only we have is through crafting and it’s more of a completionnist/utilitarian think than a reward you’ll fondly remember like mage tower skins or Rank 4 essences.

All the “systems” they’ve had for borrowed power have all sucked.
Artifact weapons sucked because you had to do boring content, you had to regrind it for off-spec and you had to completely start over on alts.
Legion legendaries sucked because there was really no choice in what to pick, likewise with SL legendaries.
Azerite armor sucked because you couldn’t even fully use the armor you looted due to heart of azeroth level being the gatekeeper.
Heart of azeroth sucked because you had to do island expeditions to level it.
Essences sucked because you had to do content you don’t even want to do, just because they’re too good to not have.
Corruption was awful because your character felt useless without them and with them you were a god.
The catalyst also sucks, they need to just remove the charges and just let us craft the full set right when a season launches.
That ‘boring content’ is content I like. And the other things you mention never bothered me. Besides; they had huge catch-ups as the expansion progressed.
Artifact weapons were awesome and I wish it would’ve been a permanent thing.

I pretty much quit Legion to play FFXIV when I started an alt and saw I had to start over on the artifact weapon and knowledge, so, lol.
Then you might have quit too fast, honestly.
I think you missed out. Certainly if you left to play garbage like FFXIV (yes, that’s subjective - of course).

Legion imo is still their best expansion so far.
You do you. I didn’t even finish my first month when I tried FF; I found it to be a horrible game.

No, that and BFA are the worst expansions they’ve ever released.
Dragonflight is among the better, the major issue is the crafting system.
Sorry but the raids and dungeons were easy, story were great and PvP, and raised population in Legion, so how do you think this is a terrible expansion?

Having to regrind it on an off-spec, having to start over completely both with AK and the level on the weapon on alts. Like I said, I quit when I saw that I had to start over on my alt.

Yes, but it’s missing something. A reason to play, more than anything, for me anyway. I WANT to play but I have nothing to do that I find worthwhile to spend my time on.
What is there is good, but there isn’t nearly enough of it - for the type of player I am.
BfA, flawed as it was, at least offered me things to do; things I didn’t find much fun, but things to do nonetheless.
I think Blizzard flipped TOO hard from one extreme to another.
Borrowed power is fine; just make it attainable through basically every activity so people don’t feel like they have to do ‘content X’. I think that’s a far better solution than ‘no borrowed power whatsoever’.

Unfortunate, cause in 7.1, they pretty much nuked the artifact power required to full the weapon so you could play any char you wanted, which i did on almost all classes to see the class order story and play those i like the gameplay.

what makes you think Dragonflight is great in years WITH bad story, DF PvP is BFA 2.0, boring dungeons and 350k subscribers?
Another amazing feature Legion had. I played more alts in Legion than I had since my vanilla days.

No, they really didn’t.
Imagine the expansions being permanent so we would spam Nighthold, Blackwing Descent, Firelands and many others forever
spamming legion mythic dungeons for +15, which I could never leave wow with the best expansions with cataclysm

That doesn’t mean the items sucked, just the way to obtain the resources for it. If the way to get it was something fun for you, you would have felt differently about it.
