Why not both?
I had enough depression RP in FF14 sorry
me and a few friends and guildies are using it in RP to administer rp for ourselves! We have had events surrounding investigating it, we’ve talked about it ic, stuff like that
As a more broad conversation, the lore from the TWW at the minute seems geared towards RPers in a way, that anybody can take part in it, from The Song, to some events that cannot be mentioned due to spoilers, it’s very Adventurey in a way that makes me think of Classic, or TBC, or Wrath, or hell even Cata, and I think it’d be a shame not to take advantage of that. The Expac is prompting you to incorporate your character beyond just ‘you’re the champion’, and you shouldn’t squander that imo! Even if you personally can’t see the song, or aren’t personally present at events that cannot be mentioned due to spoilers.
15 naked dwarves.
I don’t think i’ll do the whole Azeroth crying. Dwarves and Azeroth don’t have a good history.
A week before the release of 10.2.7 there was a campaign. that was completely based around average Azerothians hearing the Radiant song. and the fact that Nerubians were send out to abduct them. so i think its safe to say, its fair game in character for a while now.
Since we are a Kirin Tor guild and Khadgar tells us the Kirin Tor has been investigating it the moment Amirdrassil bloomed, we jumped on the occasion. We have had a lot of fun with these ‘visions’: some saw it, some did not see it, and until the last patch (where it was confirmed the Void was the threat) the wild IC theories were running rampant.
For instance, Acheleus was convinced it was Azshara - because who else has the power to trigger such a psychic phenomenon on such a scale? And so he has spent months ranting about the return of his 10 000 years old self-declared archnemesis.
We did RP some rumous about Xal’atath after the last patch, but most of our characters found them silly (“a knife person??? that’s dumb”) and couldn’t pronounce ‘Xal’atath’ correctly anyway.
She is now forever being referred to as Zalasiaff or Saladstaff, and will be until she becomes a raid boss.
Absolutely yes. Sanrie has seen visions before as part of her own predicament, it wouldnt be unreasonable for it to happen again. If anything, she would fear the old visions are back and terrify her.
Or it could be as simple as humming a song and the person next to you does the same. “Where did you hear that song?” “I dont really know, it just got stuck in my head one day.”
Anyone can hear the song and you are free to have it manifest as you wish. Its a free RP hook, use it!
As a priest I feel like this event is something that I can’t ignore, or at least don’t want to.
Since I am a Lok’osh, the way I choose to “hear” the radiant song is that the current spiritual song my priest hears to channel healing energies sounds different. It feels disrupted and restless, with off-key chimes and an unusual cadence. The reason is unclear, but there are whispers in every tavern and major city that the spirits are displeased and that something unnerving is looming on the horizon.
Where my Lok’osh also dabbles in shadow weaving, those voices may also be different than normal, but perhaps not fully understood at this time. I take the approach of an artisanal tailor, weaving the threads of light/shadow in balance to protect and defend. Maybe I’ll stock up on warded charms or defensive scrolls to keep the balance, or seek the counsel of known shamanistic healers/priests/druids.
