The War Within Physical Collector's Edition shipping

There must be a reason. Some sort of legal reason. Like this is just crazy. It’s really, REALLY expensive.

Not to mention the CE itself is like double the price of the original CE. I guess inflation’s gonna inflation though.

99Euro on shipping is just insane. And to think that they botched the delivery of Dragonflight makes me want to stay away from preordering it.

37 euro to Germany, 99 to NL. Wtf is wrong with these people.

this is nonsense shipping spain to the NL doesnt cost close to what they asking

I was about to more or less buy it immediately. The art, the game-key and what it comes with, I think is somewhat acceptable for 200, especially as games prices has gone up quite a lot in general.

But the shipping of 99 really put me off. That is just completely stupid.

I have purchased tons of big things from all over Europe. Desks, a couch, lamps, a TV - and I think at most I’ve ever had to pay 50€ shipping.

Most times you order for 150€ it’s often free.

And what boggles my mind is - why is Germany so much cheaper in comparison???

What’s going on here?!

Just do like me, cancel EU Order and reorder to UK

from 300 to 245

Yes okey, but… are you avare of tax and import duties for customs clearance when exporting goods to and from UK to EU after Brexit?

I m living in switzerland so I m not in EU like Uk.

and i made math for duties and all stuffs

in switzerland for exemple

245 (UK store)
+VAT 8.1 = 20
+Duties (box is 10kg ) +10
+Post office services 15-20

final price around 295

I see, makes sense than.

yes because on EU store price is ~300

so 8.1 of 300 is not the same as 245 :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

So, any official respons about this?
100€ shippingcost from inside the EU - must be an error?

Which country?

I live in Sweden and it costs me 105 euro…

I guess blizzard wont get many orders from Sweden this time around.

I ve been buying CEs ever since i started this game and I am sad to see that I cannot buy this one due to its insane cost and shipping. its simply not worth spending money on it. So my question to Blizzard would be: If the statue and the actual CE box are in different packaging, would it be possible to sell versions of the CE that dont include the statue? That would reduce overall price and the shipping costs

EDIT: Final Fantasy already does something similar and even sells versions that include only the physical items and box of the CE and not anything digital that players have probably already bought to reduce price even further

I don’t know how other countries work but this is the Fedex explanation of how duty is calculated

How is duty calculated?

Duty is calculated against the value of the shipment’s contents declared on the commercial invoice, together with any insurance costs and a percentage of the transportation cost – this is known as the value for customs. This value is then multiplied by the duty percentage of the Harmonized System (HS) code.

And DHL

Type of Duties and Taxes

Customs duties and taxes in the United Kingdom are under the purview of Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). This authority primarily enforces 2 types of duties and taxes on goods imported into the UK:

  1. Customs Duties
  2. Value Added Tax

Customs Duties

HMRC applies customs duties to imported goods valued above GBP 135. These duties typically range from 0% to 25% of the goods’ value, with the exception of gifts.

Gifts valued between GBP 135 and GBP 630 incur a customs duty rate of 2.5% or less, while gifts exceeding the GBP 630 threshold are subject to higher rates, determined by their specific commodity codes.

Refer to the table below for clarity:

Type and Value of Goods Applied Rates
Any goods under GBP 135 Not applicable
Gifts worth GBP 135 to GBP 630 2.5% (lower for some goods)
Gifts above GBP 630 and any other goods above GBP 135 Depends on the country of export and the type of goods. Refer to the commodity code to find exact rates here UK Integrated Online Tariff: Look up commodity codes, duty and VAT rates - GOV.UK (trade-tariff.service.gov.uk)

I would advise checking with your own country’s import rules. For example when I sent a Pepe to a friend as a birthday present, he lives in Sweden, it cost as much in import duties/taxes as it did to pay for the item and shipping.

If they just would give the option to buy the collectors without the brick figure, then we could both get around not having to pay that insane amount for the figurine and shipping of it.
