There's something wrong about the design The War Within

in what aspect?

Have you tried going to Ahn’Kahet? Looked pretty menacing to me

So the zone of death and war that uses skeletons and other undead types to fuel their war effort had too much skeletons and undead?

What were you expecting? Kittens and sheep running amock and running through the tall grass in a serene valley?

maldraxxus is literally the least offensive in terms of “afterlife” vibe out of all SL zones, it actually looks surreal and feels like apotheosis of war as concept.
Not like revendreth that is just… british

The only reason it feels like that is because you have played every expansion back to back. As a player you dont experiance the period of peach and chill before the next threat looms.

Blizzard could easily have remedy this fix by simply putting in some chill quests in the final season and time gated this behind final boss kill. Once you killed the big baddy of the xpansion then go do quests like those “marriage” and “love quests” and friendship will cure all evils. That would give the player a sense of a world at peace.

Well that and that, there are almost no time skip happening in between the expansions. If you look up the wow timeline. Barely any years pass between the expansions…

So if you look at the story from a timeline perspective. Ever since Arthas became the litch king. Azeroth has been in for one hell of a ride. Facing one super doom after the other.

I feel like Dragonflight was the expansion that gave the Citizens of the horde and the Alliance some peace time. The threats we faced on the Dragon isles where world ending.

But it was isolated to the dragon isles and we where helping out the dragons facing them… The rest of the world has largely been left out of this conflict. And the Horde and the Alliance where not involved.

But the reason i feel like that is because there is no time skip or years inbetween every next big bad in the lore. Azeroth is getting the townsville treatment… And we have to save it before bedtime everytime xD Because Blizzard doesn’t know how they can write a good and interesting villain with high stakes… Without putting the whole world on the line

Anyway I like Xala’that so far… She is a really dangerous threat. But her danger and threat is a story that is going to develop over the expansions. And i think its going to be good

Five years passed from the end of Shadowlands until the start of DF. Before that however, you are quite right.

Some say it was 3 years… others five… Where did we end up with eventually? I remember it was debated if it was 3 or 5 years or not. But I don’t remember where we ended up with in the end.

Personally I hope it was five

Danuser said five, so five it is.

Five from the start of Shadowlands to the start of Dragonflight according to the warcraft wiki, so I’m going with that.

It IS accurate.

Look at the garbo Bioware showed us at a recent EA panel:

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

I’m more surprised that this company still exists, they have not released anything good since Mass Effect 2.

Blizzard lore fact you all might not know… But Blizzard was at one point almost bought by disney xD before Microsoft entered the scene.

So your all not entirely wrong. WoW was -this- close to getting the Star wars treatment.

There where talks about disney buying Blizzard. But nothing came out of it… And we ended up in the hands of Microsoft instead

Which is still the choice between plague and cholera these days but compared to disney… Yeah… Microsoft is just greedy. They aren’t lead by a compulsive liar like Disney.
