I get that. And I never did or do that either.
But once you have the timers; you can just quest in the general area when the event is close to starting.
Also; make sure you buy a contract for a faction you want to focus on; that way every WQ and such that you do, gives some extra rep for that faction. A contract lasts for a week. ALSO make sure to go to the Forbidden Reach each day and pick a faction; you’ll get more rep with that faction then and get an extra quest with nice rep.
Thanks for the suggestion anyway. I think it is plain nonsense needing to install addons for being able to get some reputation while in the previous expansions i just did wq’s and emissaries and the reputation just got there. But i will not shoot the messenger.
I sort of get it; I miss emissaries as well.
But if you’re willing to adjust a bit; there’s more ways to get rep than just WQs.
Haha, well i will not. I am not going to play the game on the games time when the game tells me what i have to do. I am going to play the game on my time and i will do what i want to do

It’s the events that give you the big boost to renown. Most of the time doing the researchers event gives me like 1k
Not sure what the Time Rift quest gives you.
I pick that quest up every week and complete it without thinking and I rarely touch WQs
Yeah those events just do not work for me. I need to say “no” to friends to play together with. It is just so unreal to me to say “no” for doing a key or something because in like 10 minutes the feast would start and i can come in 25 minutes. That is just 25 minutes solo grinding stupid stuff over actually having fun with friends.
The researchers is about… 500 rep, i think? Is it with a contract double or something?
I make my group wait when there is a time rift up or I’m about to do the Siege of Dragonbane Keep 
but I understand you want to prioritise playing with friends.
The Time Rift is good for now,untill people get the gear,all the items,and the rep,then nobody will do it after.I see when the event start,people stay with drake on pillars,afk while we clear out,how right,is?No is not ok.But,i don’t really care thisas is not so important.
Honestly I’ve done almost all the achievments outside the rifts. I’m only there to enter and kill boss.
I thought that these rifts are all about the boss in the end, not about running out and about like a headless chicken, trying to target at least something before it’s disintegrated into dust within a second…
Why would you need these people to participate if bosses are shredded in seconds, simply redundant.
Sometimes it’s hard to compete with balance druid/hunters because you can’t even touch those mobs everything dies before you get there so why not AFK and let them do the work

Yeah same. I’m a mount and mog collector so I’m gonna do them until I have everything unlocked, which surprisingly doesn’t take a lot of time. I even got a mount as a reward when I killed the last boss.
I only still need the horde wolf but can’t seem to find anyone willing to gift it without having to trade 100k+ in gold.
Because you sit there and have the others work for it. And such a thing never comes over positive.
I was hoping they’d hotfix in a minimal participation activity check in there, but perhaps I expected too much.
It is just really difficult to participate when everything is dead in no time. So many quests finish without able to tag.
(Not taking the bugs in consideration when you are not even able to finish quests in the first place)
At least its purchasable on the horde side.
So you can just jump over to a horde character and buy it. Thats my plan if no one gifts it to me by the time im done.
