I guess i fall into this category there nothing finer then to just take your time relax while you take 2 or 3 mob groups kill them and move on and then focus on first boss try to kill it while indeed watching out for mechanics and once defeated collect loot.
No thank you. Iām not doing tw-dungeons because I want to spend 30+ minutes in a dungeon, if that was my jam I would look into the whole mythic thing.
Tripling the amount of badges would make it a net loss when doing 2 rather than 5 - because if Blizzard did this Iāll bet theyāll nerf the badge gain for any dungeon/raid boss over the 2.
What they should rather do is make the main objective (kill all main bosses) as well as having your full party present before engaging the last boss the requirement for getting the completion XP. Or remove the XP entirely/make it on par with any other level appropriate dungeon.
30min+ in Dungeon??? Omg, do not wantā¦I would fast bored
Why do you think I donāt want them tripling the mobsā HP!?
For one, what timewalking dungeon that doesnāt have forced RP currently lasts 10 minutes? We literally use Heroism at the start of the first dungeon and we still have Sated debuff when we complete the second dungeon.
For two, tripling enemy HP does not mean tripling time to complete it. Consider that you may be increasing the amount of time battling enemies, but the running time remains the same. Combined with the fact that a lot of enemies die with many dots still on them and with players having their cooldowns unused, it means that tripling enemy hp would at worst case increase combat duration by 2.5x, and overall dungeon run by 2x, if not less.
What tripling enemy HP does, however, is allow struggling players to catch up to the rest of the group which is now not running along the dungeon for 90% of its duration, but only for 50%.
Which means that it wouldnāt be ātriplingā.
This would massively hit newcomers who donāt know the dungeon layouts and canāt keep up with the group, especially in non-corridor dungeons like Court of Stars or Eye of Azshara. The group would prefer to kick the newcomer and have them replaced by another player.
I think it is not strictly about pace.
I have recently played old characters in old zones. While I love to revisit and admire, the combat itself is extremely easy. 2-3 casts to kill, no chance of failure.
Easy games arenāt particularly satisfying for me. Yes, WoW has boring grinds, but Iād rather have fun. In fact, I do. I find WoW to be the equivalent of a gym requiring to lift a small glass of water 10000 times. Is that really training?
Of course this is unresolved because new content isnāt available in (scaled) classic and fun combat isnāt available in retail except in a couple tiny places.
Fun is subjective. Fast blast is fun. Slow tedious runs, artificially slowed is not. For me.
Isnāt everything artificial anyway? Itās a video game.
When they remove my haste because itās TW itās the most unfun way to play.
E yeahā¦When it was like you want to playā¦It was like that in all mmorpgs, now its warpedā¦To where do we rush? To timed razjedinjeni dungeons? How are we supposed to see the area and soak in the vibe if we go to fast? We need to stop and smell the roses.I know we care how the place where we are looks. Why run thru it?
I canāt even remember when Timewalking was first introduced, but itās ages ago.
And I kind of feel like the fun has been squeezed out of the format by now.
I canāt remember when I got my Timewalking mount, but thatās forever ago as well. And lord knows all the vendor items were bought a long time ago also, and all the currency just piles up for God knows what reason now.
Itās good for leveling alts, but after 20 years of WoW I donāt really feel the urge to level more characters. Iāve kind of done that, you know? Besides, Iāve got several leftover boost tokens that Iāve never used, soā¦
It seems a bit done and dusted by now.
The gameplay experience has also never really seemed very solid. Early on it was a twinking dream come true as you could conjure up your own little Timewalking gear loadout crammed full of legendaries and special trinkets. Then Blizzard got rid of that and made Timewalking much harder. Then much easier. Then harder again. Then easier. Then super easy. Thenā¦
Itās a mess. Iām not really sure what kind of gameplay experience and what kind of fun Iām supposed to expect to have when I load into another Alcatraz dungeon.
And I donāt understand why Blizzard donāt rotate more dungeons and keep it fresh. It feels like itās the same handful dungeons of each expansion all the time. It gets dreadfully boring to run those same dungeons time and time again, and I canāt be bothered anymore.
Itās old, worn out, unrewarding, meaningless, and not very fun. Sometimes Iāve chopped through 4 Timewalking dungeons or the raid to complete the weekly quest, but itās a long time since itās felt like a rewarding game experience.
So yeah, itās not fun. And to some degree, itās as if the concept of Timewalking has sort of morphed into what Remix now is.
A quick google says
Timewalking dungeons, allowing players to experience past expansion dungeons scaled for their level, were introduced in Patch 6.2.0 of Warlords of Draenor.
So wow that was in 2015
Not in timewalking little mouse. I am invincible!!
The times I have heard this from a Paladin tank and then having to scoop them up from the floorā¦.
They are to me. I love 'm.
And thatās the issue: Thereās different players looking for different experiences.
Thankfully WoW offers various different experiences, so players can pick and choose the content that fits their preferences.
But that also means that not all content is for everyone.
Itās fine, but the scaling is off the charts, leveling up literally makes us weaker.
Its okay to 75 , then boom weak as a new born kittern.
Another issue with the timewalking is that they keep adding new stuff worth tens of dozens badges. Which is good in itself, but why do it right after decreasing the weekly quest earnings by half is another question. Someone new or without an army of alts just wouldnāt be able to get all the good stuff without grinding 24/7, and with how cycling between all the timewalking events lasts literal months, itās another example of āno fun allowedā.
Normally i donāt mind it except for in the Blood Furnace. Level 11 or not its a crapshow with the mines everywhere.
Ive farmed about 10 000 Twimewalking badges this week on my twink. that is why i like blasting through them.
