I’d say make friends but I think I see the issue.
Again with the forum pseudologic…
I don’t want to play tank or healer
I’ve tried to play and i did play my key… Again that is not the point… I had do decline a lot of unfitting people myself and it takes ~30 min. to fill a party by being reasonable with the way i chose the players to invite… If i were to chose players like almost everyone else it would take 1 our. But… Again… mabe i don’t feel like playing my key because i do not want to play that particular instance. A perfectly valid reason.
You try to explain to everyone why you do not want to do anything different, but everyone is also saying that you choose from the available options.
Blizzard did not put you into a second citizen queue for a specific reason. This is just the culmination of everyone making the same choice that you made.
So you either change something to avoid your current position, or you continue with what you are doing.
No body is going to take a 2.6k 630 ilvl rogue, everyone in the list is that ilvl or around 2.5k score. You need to stand out, either in score or ilvl.
Or name
Kittycat gang unite!
Idc about arguing but the OP is right - someone told me you need “20 mins a day” to do 1 M+ a day but for the sake of proving him wrong I tried it and despite ok rio and applying only for appropriate dungeons i had completed i still needed over 30 mins to find grp. Making my own group didn’t prove any better as finding a tank or healer is always problematic and when they appear they drag a naked friend along.
it’s bad. And yes sure occasionally u can get insta invite or whatever but it’s never the norm. But honestly at this point IDK what can solve the issue.
I mean, just drag the naked friend along? I dragged my friends or others through tons of keys, and it works without any problems up to around the 12-13 level, where you start to miss haveing that extra pumping DPS. If you want to be a bit careful, you simply vet the ‘rat alts’ by checking if they got experience on their main. A 590 rat alt driven by a 3k main, will likely perform a lot better than you would initially expect. Don’t forget, we did the content at this ilvl before. The higher ilvl we got nowdays just makes it so much easier for less skilled players.
If you are doing like a 10, and there is a 639 tank bringing his 580 friend, just grab em. Even if that tank is a moutbreather and somehow does 0 DPS, then there is always that 639 DPS signing, he can solo the DPS requirement of the key. So, then it is only a question of the DPS you yourself bring if it is going to be a +, or a ++.
Now, I cant talk about your experience. I can only talk about mine. And yes, if I want to DPS push content for my progress - it will be hard. As I am not ahead of the curve, I am behind, there are a lot of better options to bring. I knew this would happen when I decided to just not bother. I made my bed, so I will lay in it - only occasionally grumbling about the itch.
I got one lucky out though, I can always just go tank or healer. I do get insta invited as a tank for 13’s, and that with my score as pure DPS. It was kind of unreal. Yet that would be the solution to your issue:
You must become more attractive in the PuG market. DPS is worth pennies a gaggle… tank and healer tho, is worth their weight in gold!
Just don’t worry about it too much, if you are hardlocking yourself from the content going at it an inefficent way - do not be suprised that it takes a lot of time. Your effort should rather be spent investing into getting out of that ditch. Once you are ahead of the curve, then you can start worrying about what you find more fun. Until then, you made the choice to suffer. The escape is right there, all you need to do is put in the required effort.
tried this y-day with horrible results. no, it doesn’t work if the guy is actively sabotaging the run being this super bad.
You seem aware of the massive tank and healer shortage so I’m guessing that’s what you’re talking about. Was the queue time better for DPS in earlier expansions? I normally play tank so I’m genuinely asking.
I’ve tried a few pugs as a tank, seen a few things. A DPS pulled a pack that wasn’t on the route I linked, killed us all, then whispered me to use cooldowns
My healer friend tried pugging with me, she didn’t seem to get as much stick but people don’t interrupt and stand in too much bad stuff to make resto druid fun in pugs.
Imho, healers need a spot heal power bump or interrupts need to be reverted to the old rules (stuns etc count). From my end, people need to stop expecting the tank to clean up their mistakes (also don’t blame others when it’s your fault).
Not sure how else pugging can be fun again.
