Timewalking item level needs a fix

its perfecly ok

its dropping 225/233 itlv loot

Don’t do that please.

So you can give out attitude and expect people just to take it and not mention it sorry that is not going to happen with me .

There’s no reason in even doing them for gearing which means it’s gone from a catchup tool to just something you can farm currency from to buy mounts with
Put some time in the 9.1 rep and you can make gear over 40+ ilvls from timewalking with professions
What’s the point?

I mean you can get 200+ loot from TW raid but making it through the raid is extremely random luck. Plus a lot of raid leaders aren’t exactly happy to carry twinks with low item level for equipping.

Agreed. TW vendors could at least give item level 200, so it’s easier for chars to reach the itlvl required for lfr. That gap between getting to max char level and being able to do the lowest raid mode still hasn’t been fixed properly and it has been quite a problem for a few expansions now.

TW is so grindy, I still think that even the weekly 5xTW is too little reward for my alts to care, and most alts would still benefit from a 226 piece. But it just takes too long to actually feel rewarded, especially compared to the 4xM+ weekly that features a HC piece. And the fact that this is limited content (TW is not every week) they could easily bend the rules to make it drop much higher ilvl. Would be cool if:

  • TW dungeons dropped 226 ilvl gear.
  • Weekly TW reward was set to 239.

Exactly, just as I wanted to say,
Cuirrent rewards for timewalking just not worth the time and the “grind”.
I like timewalking dungeons, back in leagion I was spaming them cause they were dropping nice ilvl,
But now, I barely did it on one toon…

They think with grind they increase the time we play,
But not, actually I loose the mood to play the game…

There was not an ounce of brashness in my response what so ever.

I coherently explained what timewalking is, what it’s showcased purpose is and why it shouldn’t give items for current content, I also stated a reason as to why some people might run timewalking, which is for the vendor items, one such person being myself.
I also stated that it might seem like a dumb hoop/obstacle to get(earning TW badges) over just to get some cosmetics.

I also gave a plausible reason as to why timewalking is giving out “Bad” gear(180 something iLvl).

Literally nowhere do I go off on you with a brash, harsh or even negative attitude.
And instead of explaining why you decided to paint me a bad light, you just did so for arguably no reason, and when I tell you to not do so. You take an issue with it.

From a subjective point of view, logically speaking the issue seem to lie with you and not me. As you shouldn’t have any issue with me telling you to “not do that” and marking a quotation for it. In fact, your response should have been something along the lines of:

“It appears there has been some form of miscommunication between our responses, can we clarify to each other which part was communicated wrongly?” Or something along those lines.

as long as their difficulty is changed to reflect that reward ? im all for it.

True, I forgot that m0’s are ūber difficult compared to TW.

Id say instead of comparing difficulties, one should compare time spent.

Excuse me? Timewalking should in the VERY least drop heroic dungeons quality. Heroic dungeons are arguably a lot easier (not to mention the occasional renown farmer inside there) given Heroic dungeons are just one gigantic mass pull.

As for the Raid Quest weekly bag: /shrug. Make it heroic for all i care. Its 1 item a month from that source.

Imo I think HC dungeon ilvl, 197, from the tw dungeon and the vendor and then its weekly quest reward changed to a HC raid gear ilvl rather than normal would be more much more suitable.

You are 50% right:

  • dungeon gear was heroic dungeon level, so this needs a fix.
  • weekly 5 dungeons reward was always normal for TW. Only 4 mythic dungeons reward heroic level item.

yea,
But anyway, this lower ilvl of tw rewards are a joke,
Why are they slowing progression this much ? I don’t get it,

Back in the days I was doing zillions of tw runs cause I liked the nostalgia,
But now for these rewards I have zero mood to do them…

Simple - wow token and AH
You can can get full set of crafted 200ilvl from AH (and they are cheap, like 500-1000g/piece), one crafted 230ilvl (2.5-3.5k gold), one deck trinket (2-3k gold).

So the moment you ding 60, you can get almost full set of 200ilvl (exepct weapon and 1 trinket) for roughly 12k gold, so even heroics to gear are useless now (except for weapon, renown, etc.)

They really need to bring back crafted weapons like we had in TBC and MoP and WOD ,WoD being a good system were you could upgrade it to just below heroic raid level each raid patch .

Then HC gear also should be a bit up in ilvl I think xD

If you buy a token to sell it for 12k gold (of which you already have the majority of the moment you hit 60) then i honestly doubt your ability to use irl money properly.

There are so many ways to make quick gold to sustain items such as these. It only becomes an “issue” if one wants to buy the big things.

It doesn’t always reward hc. It usually was normal gear. It depends on how far we are in to the current tier i think.
For the rest i do agree it needs to drop higher baseline ilvl but still kinda no one does tw for gearing.

There is 1 big problem. Timewalking is faceroll. Yes its super easy and super acessible. How exactly you plan have better rewards in such content but not invalidate current content? Becouse thats exactly what will happen. Nobady will bother with harder content for same itemlvl rewards what they can get in far easyer timewalking.

It migh shock you but WoW have alredy giant problem how different type of content rewards compete for players attention and you want to add another into mix. You can just keep pumping relevant itemlvl rewards into all type of content. It will fragment playerbase and risks tons of current content to be absolote.
