Titles are RNG too now (R1)

So you have to be lucky enough to que shortly before blizzard decides to screw up the mmr system in the middle of the season. Let RNG decide whoever deserves a R1 title.

6 year old devs btw, man I can’t wait for classic because 2004 devs were more competent than 2019 devs. You could literally put a monkey into the blizzard office and he would do better. Why? Because he probably wouldn’t do anything at all and leave things as they are.

Compare a whole potential multi million mobile game against ~100 players that care about r1 titles.

dont worry in season 2 we will have to farm conquest caches for 1000 conquest each and they have a small chance to contain any title from chal-r1

boooooooooooo

Season shoulda just ended so…seems kinda fair in that respect. This part of the season is beyond dumb.

Depends on the situation.

For the speccs/classes that underperformed before 8.1 it would have been unfair to just end it.

With that logic every season is unfair because there’s always some classes at the bottom that “didnt get the chance”.

Well, luckily there’s (presumably) 5-6 more seasons this expansion for them to play in!

Yeah would have been fair for Destro, Ele, DK, WW, Feral…

Then why did Sub and WW at the start of the season get nerfed ? The other classes just had bad luck then. Why nerf it then in the first place.

Why should 1 player on 1800 and the other on 2600 if both are of equal skill level ?

I cant imagine it with the look of the current sets, but what if they wanted the Elite set of S1 Bfa ?

So again with that argument they could have just refrained from nerfing ANYTHING at all or ? The other would have 5-6 more seasons to play in !

Who would care that it would be only RMP and BM+X+Disc.

well fortunately these nerfs or buffs dont impact the ability to reach 1800 whatsoever. it only starts having effect at ratings where people start knowing the basics and understanding the fundamentals, so it wouldn’t really matter.

if you’re a bad player and cant reach 1800 then you dont deserve the elite set regardless of if your class is bad or not cus it doesn’t matter.

i think the changes were done correctly but season should have ended with the release of 8.1 regardless. kinda stupid that they’d choose to keep it going for longer tbh.

They do. Maybe not for you but for some. ~2k Eles from Legion could be stuck at 1700 in BfA S1 while a 1600 Legion DH could get 2400.

You know that this is true.

That contradicts with

No matter how broken BM was ( i didnt saw them), with your statement people still could have beaten them. So there changes to the outliers at the start were not needed, with your argument.

If it’s not supposed to be a challenge to get the PvP rewards, what is even the point? Where do you draw the line? Back when it was 2200 for elite sets people didn’t cry about it, they were told git gud and so they did, or they didn’t and never got it.

I don’t understand this logic that every horrible player should get access to elite gear and if their class gets nerfed they should somehow be compensated for it since they supposedly can’t get it, which means they don’t deserve it and aren’t capable of it.

I wouldn’t be crying about missing Ahead of the Curve either just because my class isn’t wanted in PvE anymore, I would just git gud and pull my weight, or play something that is good (and hey, you can do that now too because elite sets arent class specific).

Rival is such a low rating now and you even get halfway there before you even start losing rating, there’s no excuse for any class or spec to not be able to reach it with some effort put into it. If you can’t manage it then maybe the issue is that you need to stop smashing your head on the keyboard and use your brain.

That you miss my point. That its not a challenge either if one person is 800 CR over their skill level while the other is capped 400 under theirs.

That is exactly the question. Where speccs are balanced ?!

Didn’t said that. I used people as Example that more or less easily acquired it with a at that time Balanced specc. So that they neither were over or under their skill level.

That was not my argument.

“capable” depends also on Specc/class. You cant say you cant see the point that its unfair that a 2k legion Ele would be 1600 before 8.1.

I doubt the part with “get good”. As in PvP also in PvE there are thresholds. If you dont meet them, you are not viable.

Simplistic its get Enemy HP to 0. Dont drop to 0.

This is what you would do.

I dont mean me. I think that 2000 to 2100 with WW before 8.0 was good enough.

Right back at you with the brain part. Not everything is about you.

The only bad thing they did was the MMR change.

I think any class if the person was good enough could get the set. Don’t R1 titles just generally go to the same people anyway? Most classes had some other spec or comp they could play if they had to, even the ones you listed earlier - probably DK and WW are the only two since people don’t like to go from dps to healer. Even then a really good player could have made it work.

This season just needs to end tbh.

Classic didn’t have arenas - have fun there in AV40 with Korrak and friends. (Yes it actually was fun)

imo it’s totally fine that the mmr is screwed. Why should 4 months of hard work and spam qing all go to waste one month before the season ends because of a game changing balance patch?

Either the patch should have been delayed until 22nd of Jan when season ends, or the season should have ended when the patch came out. The mmr thing is stupid but it’s almost a necessary evil to make up how awful blizzard’s organisation is and overall neglect when it comes to pvp

“hard work”. As if. Could also that they had the easy train and now just got pulled back on earth from their high horses.

In the best case scenario the season should never have started in this state with speccs/classes not anywhere near viable for so long.

Then they could have endet it with 8.1.

They kill the game purposely. From expansion to expansion in pvp everything become worst. Enjoy Bfa.

Hardly. Even those class and spec changes alone would merit a new season with a new meta to build into.
