I dount June is even possible from what we have seen last night. Even cyberpunk showed more that just artwork/pictures, and we know that turned out.
If they rush it out, it will be just like another 3/4 months beta testing in live, hotfixes, then 9.2 rinse and repeat.
I miss the days when game is annouced in playable state and tested intensively from internal quality department. I don’t think blizzard currently has any
well , id just suck it up.
id get the pets prob 2 days of work and get over with it…
i deffo wont be crying on forum over it, instead just do it, suck it up get over it and reap the reward.
You’re correct that an MMO = progression, but it’ll depend mostly on their type of progression, the story has to go somewhere and if that means to unlock certain things straight up for people who haven’t done that part just to keep them playing, then that’s their choice.
Remember, we are the players, we are what gives the game life, but in the end, the final decision will always come from the Devs.
The reward isn’t worth it for me. I can put up with a certain amount of suffering for a reward in a game - I got the Visions solo FoS entirely through solo play with no M+ or raid gear, carries or boosting - but the Maw mount isn’t worth TC for me. I don’t expect it to be free, but I do expect it to not be 15 hours of horrible gameplay.
First: I did not even unlock TC because I refuse to save Jaina on my main and I also refuse to take one more character through SL introduction.
Then: I do like the idea of the Maw; a dangerous place where our mounts don’t hear our call. What I don’t like about it is that it seems to be a mandatory part of the game for those that want to do the high-end end-game activities like organized raiding/m+ Most importantly: being able to build a legendary item.
To make something not feel mandatory it can only have -insert word*- rewards and then would it even be worth to spend resources into developing such a part of the game no matter how small? Does anybody really play the game simply for fun anymore?
I mean, I know I do and I enjoy way more going into the Maw and fight for the weekly souls than to stand next to the soulcage and wait for respawn to eventually hit the goal on the timer.
If I don’t feel like playing, I don’t play. I’m not in a guild, I don’t raid, I don’t m+, I queue for a normal dungeon now and then when a calling wants it from me and ONLY if I am in the mood. Otherwise to Maw with the calling.
But to reply to the topic: I feel mounting in the Maw is too fast. Imo the reason wow is feeling like it’s deteriorating is because devs don’t stand by their own ideas. Change a little thing without regard for the rest of the story. There is a butterfly effect. Some (not all) things don’t make sense anymore when just a tiny thing is removed/changed.
*For the life of me I cannot come up with the word I am looking for here and ofc as I’m typing it came to me: cosmetic…
agree with you, its to fast …
to be fair it should never happen, maw = maw only mount or GTFO.
the devs do indeed not back up their own idea, and these little kids want everything for free nowadays, free and easy or they complain .
gaming has evolved into a (cant find the word) !
i cant wait for amazons new world atm, that game might just put wow under for good who knows, at this rate i enjoy the maw like it is.
This is total speculation on my part but I think the take up on activities in the Maw has probably been low. They even started giving us callings.
It is a lot more bearable if you can mount and makes it a lot faster. The next patch is set in the Maw. They need to make it more bearable. I think this is why we will be able to use any mount.
Finally I will be able to mount something that doesn’t make this annoying metal clanking sound the corridor creeper does.
Blizzard logic: “we removed water strider ability to waterwalk so players can have more variety in ground mounts instead of everyone using the same mount”
Also Blizzard logic: “we made mounts not work in the maw except for this very one specific mount so now everyone has to use the same exact mount”
The maw is trash and nigh irredeemable, let the people mount if only to make their soul drain a tad slower
Getting a single character maxed out with Ve’nari partially soured the entire expansion for me
You’re right that majority of players are not very fond of the Maw, however that does not mean that OP is a troll. OP got the Maw mount, probably because Blizzard said it’s the only way to mount up there, so he/she is right to be annoyed that you and I can use a mount there without any effort.
