Mhm, yeah I’ve been playing wow on/off since 2005. I’ve tried every expansion and I got 25k achievement pts, but I don’t get wow
All this gatekeeping is just sad “I did it when it was slow af and boring now you should suffer too” that’s just an old and outdated perspective. All this Microsoft simping is just weird.
Now, imagine doing this live, while you barely have any gear to progress through cause you are a pvper and you dont have the HUGE pve items to push through with a breeze, every single time a patch recks your leggo (that you need boreghast to farm) again n again n again, Plus all the chores and quests of the campaign you had to go through if you DARED to make an alt in trashlands for you to enter arena and face all the “boosted duelist” andies that had 20k hp more than you 2 shotting you if you just started your alt.
Oh, and add countless hours of getting farmed in BGS also to “upgrade” a gear that doesnt even matter on arena cause again you would face 90% the boosted andies and the boosters no matter the rating.
Worse expansion together with Trash F A and Lolgion for PvP.
Now come, lemme give you a hug.
(and ye, you saw nothing.)
How many expansions you played or how many achievement points you’ve got has obviously nothing to do with if you understand WoW or not.
I play WoW since Cata non stop and got 40k points, and?
It is about that you do what you like in the game and what you don’t like you just don’t do.
If the hours you spend in Torghast are not worth the rewards for you, then don’t do it.
Again, WoW is a time based game and you should be happy abt that it allows you in later expansions to do old content way faster, imagine they would scale you down to the SL ilvl we had, and btw exists in certain other games.
What is an “old and outdated perspective” is subjective, I think WoW is in this case good how it is.
Sounds like an absolute nightmare ngl. As bad as it is now, once im done with this “twisting corridors layer 8” i’m not going to do these anymore, until maybe at the end of TWW when it’s easier. And I bet Jáy will be going mad over how it took him and other 600 hours to complete and I managed to do it in less than 60.
Ironically, it was a lot more fun when it was harder. The randomly generated enemies and the powers you would get to defeat them - the variety that would create made for a much more engaging experience.
But it was never particularly fun. The atmosphere was dreadful - you think it was dark? It wasn’t dark enough. For a place of torture, it was strangely… silent.
That’s basically what I’ve been doing since WOD, with the exception of BFA during the pandemic. I dont have unlimited time, I got other stuff to do, like work!
Anyway, you may now all refer to me as “Spirestalker Fresh”
I am one of those people who actually liked doing it. The random abilities, the semi-random levels and how hard it was at some point really made it fun for me. The only thing that might improved it further is a little change in scenery.
Kinda on the fence with Torghast - hated it at first (especially solo), but once i had a regular bunch of guys to run it with, it wasn’t so bad. Same thing with Island Expeditions in BFA - Had 2 guys i used to max out the Azerite every wednesday (one quit during SL, the other i still do a bit of M+ with)
