I just wish they returned to the trading post being a mishmash of random items that never made it through production rather than this battle pass “theme” thing they have going on. “Oh now it’s spring so everything is flowers”, “Oh now its summer so everything is beach party”, halloween and so on.
I enjoyed every month just being a collection of random scrapped models, sets, weapons, mounts they never got the chance to implement before, now it feels like items are made specifically for the trading post.
But Luke I told you earlier that’s the problematic thing.
It’s a problematic mindset that needs to be abandoned. There are no girl and boy things there are just things.
No, you live in a fantasy world IRL. There are things and stuff that boys have more attention to then girls, thats a proven fact.
But idk why you bring in identity politics into this when it has NOTHING to do with anything here…
It’s a stupid old mindset and you cans “prove” it cause parents around the world start putting it into there kids from a young age.
Ofcourse then they will reflect it.

How you had it in life isnt the same for everyone and frankly i do not care because i cant do anything about it and because it has nothing to do with this topic (not trying to be mean but i need to say it apparently)
There are such vast differences between the 2 genders with or without any parent input in interests and behaviour and things people like in general. There are girls who love the color blue as there are guys who love the color pink. I dont care about that, thats not even what this is about. Its the constant pinky flower theme i dont like, thats all. I want giga swords, massive maces and cool bows and bloody staves and cool look-a-like shoulders pads like satyr ones from emerald nightmare etc. Im tired of the current trading post stuff.
On a completely serious note, this is awful and I am very sorry that this happened to you. I was kinda the reverse of that in my youth. I hope you are in a better and happier place now.
I feel like a failure of a woman every time this topic pops up… I don’t particularly want butterflies, flowers and pink either!
I’d love more of a mix, I’m perfectly happy there is cute stuff for the people who adore that but I think like others pointed out already that with the monthly themes there is quite a big chance most of it won’t be appealing. I’d love to spend my 13k tender on something.

I think people misunderstand in this post why trading post items have this aesthetic.
Think is that they put in the trading post anything inspired from real world/event that has no place dropping anywhere in WoW.
So yeah, we do not get the knight armor, the bloodied armor, the spikes, the flames, because all those have already be done in tier sets, in the world, etc.
But they have nowhere to put the butterfly wings, the weird stuff, that has no place in the world. So they use the trading post to offer those items that otherwise would not be in the game.
Then they can take inspiration from a wider variety of real world events that paves the way for a broader variety of aesthetics. As it stands, I don’t really care for the real world event inspiration unless it’s something like Halloween which naturally leans towards ‘edgy’ and darker aesthetics.
Even that is hit or miss if they decide to push witch related aesthetics to the forefront, though.
I’m a guy. I like a lot of what they make for the trading post (transmog anyway, I generally don’t care about mounts or pets).

I agree. But you don’t need to make over-the-top claims to share your opinion.
I would like them to do a bit more of sets like the blood troll one and such; that set was awesome and I still use parts of it regularly in transmogs.
There’s space for both ‘cute’, ‘quirky’ and ‘dark’ and ‘badass’.
I don’t believe that is actually the case. Though it’s funny how certain posters make a huge song and dance about how unfair stereotyping is only to rely on it to reinforce their own talking points.
Okay, so we had 2 months in a row with cute stuff. Meanwhile the rest of the time there has been plenty of variation.
You also completely ignore that these items pretty much don’t exist outside the trading post. The exception is the Night Fae. There is a reason why I went “Oooooh, that is soooo girly! I gotta have that!” when I saw the set pieces and pastell moth this month. These items are super rare.
I’d also like to point out it is a nice contrast to the items given by the patch itself, which are at the other end of the scale, but lets just ignore that and scream that Blizzard don’t take you into account.
Go save some tenders. I decided to spend some instead this month. I’ll save mine when your style comes along again at the trading post.
