It took a few days, their attempts to track the most worthy prey on the isle and cull its minions - but tonight the grand hunt of Bethekk comes to an end, as the hunting party sets out to down their biggest prey yet, supported by the Mystics who need the sacrifice in order to ask the Panther for her blessings.
Operating under the Loa of shadows makes us a little tricky to find these days, but if all goes well, we should be back in Zul’Gurub by this weekend!
Thanks for the wonderful RP. My toon learned a lot about the different Loa. Rarely seen such a colorful gathering of different tribes, with a lot of attention to lore. Djen will return!
Honestly so glad to see this guild is still active the way it is. If I ever make a troll, this would be the guild I’d come to for some good story and character development.
Sweet! Our calendar is currently fairly busy with events now that we’re about to kick off our new plotline, but there should always be some space for visitors!
Zandalari are coming in two weeks. I like to imagine you guys have been waiting for years, and here I am thinking a few months was already unbearable Will you celebrate releaseday?
We’re super hyped! Thank you! Of course, the sole week this year I need to go to a conference abroad for work is the week Zandalari release, but that shouldn’t stop the rest of our guildies!
Thanks! And we don’t worry too much about too little trolls to go around – in three days we’ll be hitting our six year anniversary, and we’ve been stable and active during all the years. But we’re definitely welcoming any new faces, be it those that have been doing troll roleplay for years or those eager to give it a try now that Zandalari are nearly out!
As for the council – we’re avoiding any direct connections or contacts with lore characters in roleplay. Considering our troll-only, Horde hostile approach versus the direction Talanji is taking the Zandalari in (and the fact there will be non-trolls in the council as well), most of our trolls have lost faith in the council at best.
You deserve it! Been giving it some thought and I really wish to join you guys with a Zandalari once they’re out. Or maybe a Sandfury. Is a not DK-skin okay? Wish I could join with Djen, but she has too many Horde contacts.
Like I’ve said many times before, this guild will bring you nothing but joy and you’ll never regret investing your time into it.
I don’t know why it shouldn’t. People RP Ice and forest trolls without the bulky model, and that’s way more immersion breaking than a color, and while majority of our sandfuries use the DK skin, imagination is the power of creation!
Also, after nearly a year of sitting in my hut, being passive-aggressive (in the case of a certain furry boi more aggressive than passive) towards other trolls, I’ve made the blood oath and became the part of the Shadow of the Empires for real!
This is definitely fine! Like Xenunjin said above, many people roleplay other trollish races using the standard Jungle Troll model, so just state that you are a Sandfury, and people will see you as one!
The months of January and February have been very eventful in Stranglethorn Vale. Rin’jhi hosted a large ritual in the name of Bethekk - offering the heart of a Sea Giant which the trolls slaughtered using the cunning of the Great Panther Loa - and this means that he finally finished his Priest-trials. Congratulations Rin’jhi, on becoming a Priest of Bethekk!
After a couple of trials these past months, Dah’ti has finally achieved her Warbringer-rank and is back to leading the warriors of the city once more! Venom Weaver Tar’ahk decided to step down from his trials, and will be known as a Venom Mixer, and will also properly start on his path of weaving venom!
Lesser Priestess Je’lakk closed off the Month of Shadra by doing a ritual in Her name. It took a turn for the worst, however, as the trolls recieved a vision of the grave news of Zandalar. News of the falling of God-King Rastakhan is spreading throughout the city, and panic is rising.
Thanks! Some guilds are more strict than others when it comes to classes I have noticed, so I had to ask. I don’t like playing DK these days, so I’m glad to hear the class isn’t needed to play a Sandfury
We’re proud to announce today is our 6 year anniversary!
Founded in 2013, back then still under the name Zandalari Empire, we’ve developed into a home for non-horde aligned trolls of all tribes over the years, with a large emphasis on troll culture, exploring the differences between the many tribes and Loa and personal development and storylines of the troll in our ranks.
We’re super grateful for the support we have gotten over the years from the Argent Dawn community, as well as for everyone who has engaged in roleplay with us, and the many OOC chats we had on trolls and lore, ranging from our own members to the visitors of Stranglethorn. We aim to provide more plots, events and campaigns and daily casual roleplay for many more years to come!
Six years of continuous troll roleplay combined with the fact we are a few days away of Zandalari becoming playable, something a few of us around since the beginning could only dream of – it’s sometimes still hard to grasp. May troll roleplay continue to flourish, both with us in Zul’Gurub and in the many new initiatives around.
We don’t pretend to own Zul’Gurub IC or OOC, but we like to roll with the idea the average inhabitant wouldn’t be toooo keen on having non-trolls around, or trolls actively voicing support of the Horde. But Darkspears or Revantusk not waving giant Horde flags around would be hard to tell apart from a Gurubashi or non-horde forest troll to begin with. That said, our lot usually welcomes any troll visitor!
Impressive! It is for any guild, but even more for a niche like non-horde trolls. It’s great to have you on this server. Here’s to you guys bringing us more quality troll RP for the coming years.
