The addon helps to pick a price? I just sell for the current lowest one. So i click on the item in the bag and press “ok” in the AH. You do not even have to think about prices.
There is no valid point in banning it.
Either you sell your stuff with or without the addon or you don’t without the addon. The prices are made by people not an addon.
If you put stuff on the auction house cheaper it gets sold, if you put it up expensive you gotta be lucky.
The only thing that works at your advantage is the time used to check auctions. While you and I play, people search the auction house, re-price their stuff, buy cheaper stuff, resell it, etc.
It’s the time investment, not the addon.
You could do this without TSM by searching your “flask”, see how many are listed, buy the cheap one, put yours in a bit more expensive. It’s not rocket science.
I mean like recommending a price based on its settings (like minus 1 copper of the lowest one).
Is that why you so often see that listing with 1 less copper? Undercutting is not needed anymore. You get first in line to sell when you put it in. So just list it as the same price as the current lowest, which is default in the current AH. Never think about prices, just press OK and you’re good.
You don’t need to be “cheaper”, you can have the same price.
That’s btw the worst thing with the auction house.
It is better than seeing all the time that -1 copper though. And it is good for the sellers since prices do not need to get down. When you sell you get a good price.
I think both are bad. The actual system leads to people camping auctions and resetting their items.
In the old system people did the same and kept undercutting with 1 copper.

I think a solution would be to the op’s issue with tsm if the first put on sold first, but that would just mean people then doing the undercut by 1 copper constantly instead.
It is a bit of a lose lose, ultimately some people just really want to make gold that’s all they do when the play the game. Me I like to make gold but that’s whilst doing m+ etc so I just gradually stockpile. What I make in a week some people will make double in a day

I have a couple people on my server that sits 12+ hours a day just cancelscanning the legendary market. The problem doesn´t lie with tsm, but with the people who thinks it is a good idea to spend their life staring at the ah menu. Their punishment is a crappy life. You should really pity them instead, though I know it´s hard when you can´t get anything sold. It´s not tsms fault though.
In fact, Blizzard changed how the game works to explicitly accommodate TSM. TSM users were lagging out the AH for entire servers, so Blizzard limited the number of times they can refresh the AH.
This was an acknowledgement by Blizz that the addon is not just allowed, Blizzard will do work to ensure it doesn’t break the game for everyone. This is Blizzard directly supporting TSM.
That’s not all it does, and you know it. The addon is absolutely needed for anyone who wants to play the AH game.
TSM is good for selling daily stuff like herbs or materials, but for items and transmogs i use original AH.
I once scamed myself on blizzard AH back in the past and lost 2kk while buying 2 int flasks. Now i only use TSM as its easier to see stuff there. New AH is not this bad too.
One of the problems is that it is not really a true auction most of the time since there is often no bidding.
It is just an unregulated marketplace.
Maybe we finally get stacks of items in AH then, instead having too buy mana potions 1by1 because the addons list them 1by1 too be seen first… (Those bid-buyout scammers suck even harder though…)
Addons are cheating
I think this addon is in the dark end of the grey area of addons.
It does do automation but it’s initiated by the user.
