In the lands of Dark between the Blacksoul Dominion, the Wastes of Xynia and Thuzaradin, stands a defiant bastion, located in the contested region between the three powers, a sole monument to resilliance, stubboness and conviction.
Its walls thick and heavy have stood the test of time, though damaged and cracked in places it refuse to fall to any invaders who throw themselves upon its body, each enemy repelled like the blacksmiths hammer against the barren anvil.
Legendary defenders stand upon its battlements, equiped in battleworn gear which they wield with skill of a master each and all.
They are warriors of renown, gathered together from all walks of life, noble and humble alike.
United they withstand the tides of darkness and the regin of chaos.
Behind the study walls rests an enclave safe guarded from the horrors that looms beyond. Here in this scantuary thrives a small but active community of dedicated and resolute story tellers. races of every creed gathered together under a single shared desire to indulge in the ancient tradition of stories shared and told, though they are forsaken by the gods and the wider world beyond, they only become hardned by the neglect.
Despite this, the community is warm and welcoming to those stray and far travled who brave the dangers to stand before its gates, those people who themselves are driven by the same desire, are invited to become members themselves and share in the bounty of lore held within its deep vaults.
But woe be to those who abuse this trust, and seek harm, as crime is punished by exile, to certain death by the hands of the threats that stalk the shadows beyond the walls reach.
Whispers among adventureres and scholars of ancient history speak of what existed before, a place marked by the gods in a previous age, before the lands of dark earned its forboding name and before the very gods themselves turned blind to its existance. There in that ancient forgotten age, before the Bulwark was raised, there existed a city, a philosophical center of diverse thought, but as the time went on and dangers emerged, the city shrunk, its population divided into forums of different thoughts, all went quiet one by one until all that remained was the libary of Argents Dawn, some fled to here seeking refuge, others left or died out in the stillness of the night, and soon even the gods had grown tired and closed their divine gaze never to glare at the city again.
When the lands then fell to the dark and became what they are now, many assumed the libary gone, sacked and burned, for what hope could there be in a deslote place cut off from the rest of the world?
when all other pockets of hope were snuffed.
But the Argents Dawn endured against all odds, from the ruins it build a wall against the growning evil, a shield so impenetrable it still stands to this day.
