As a rule of thumb the lower the bracket the bigger the difference, 10 -19 there’s more to it.
Twinks - Aiming for BiS
Heirlooms Levellers - Generally well geared
New / Starter Accounts - 4 -5 items equipped and half the health pool.
Even with no Twinks in this bracket the New / Starter accounts will still be severely disadvantaged imo. Even Legion’s templates did nothing for those guys / gals.
Twinks @ 60 and 70 are probably the most balanced as they do / can meet levellers up to 9 levels higher with more abilities and potentially stronger gear. A level 78 has Mastery / extra talent row over a 70. It’s not and never was as simple as all Twinks are OP.
I’ll make this point again so it’s clear, the separation of the queues does not bother me, the way it was communicated ( or rather not ) is what grinds my bones. All that Blizzard need to do is fix the random XP Off queue which is bugged and I’ll be happy.
Ehh… its not that much… looms have what, 9 stam? Thats 90 hp. The goggles give 110 hp more. Its nice but only makes you survive one or two more hits or a few dot ticks. Or half a crit.
Rogues: All specs could use a damage nerf on some abilities. Especially Assass.
Druids: Just remove the “Resto/Guardian/Balance/Feral Affilitation”. It’s poor class design e.g. “We don’t know how to design this class so let’s just give them abilities from other specs to make them complete.”
Also remove the damage bonus from healers in PvP and make it PvE only so that it still works for leveling.
“…Really? because this changes nothing even if the bug that Mvp mentioned gets fixed. There’s plenty of other non-bug ways for twinks to farm levelers.”
I think it contradicts your statement
Farming levelers is closer to ganking than viewing it as a normal challenge between equal players.
Anyway I think people have the right to gear up and be superior as long as xp in bg’s is on as it is now idm. Everyone could do nit themselves, and ppl probably never cry when the awesome geared player is on their team.
Hmm … guys … Are we discussing about why twink are more powerful than levelers, or can we come back to the OP about the fact that twinks are still coming in XpOff queues by exploit ?
I believe this was called by quite a few among us. Most of the ‘twinks’ you face really are not twinks at all. They’re people using heirlooms and, like in the old days, enchant them. Heck this could even be his original set. I still have my old enchanted leveling heirlooms lying about on some toon.
This ‘problem’ will never go away because class imbalance remains in low level brackets and had never anything to do with twinks.
edit: As for the leveling. People automatically get put at level x9 of the bracket. 59 for your example. This doesn’t mean they themselves are 59. He could be level 50 and it would take a long while for him to outlevel the bracket.
As an all time paladin player, I severely disagree. NEVER, and let me say this again, NEVER take away our defensives. It’s our damage that needs a huge tone down (and also, take away Divine Steed. Paladins never needed mobility. Give us back Pursuit of Justice!). Paladin was always meant to be a support class with a lot of defensives and buffs. However, I do agree that rets are obnoxious right now, and thanks to the design phylosophy of modern WoW rets will stay as they are.
Ehh I sorta agree. Sub will always need burst, since that’s what the class is based off. Outlaw is either busted af or worthless, depening on RNG. Assasin is a braindead spec, and tweaking damage is the only way to balance that class.
This was used when they seperated the queues in the past. It’s a known bug that has existed for years and frankly the devs won’t fix it now if they wouldn’t fix it then.
If it’s any consolation they have to pay 10 gold everytime they want to do this.
Regardless of this, the majority of ‘twinks’ encountered in bgs are actually not twinks but just people with a strong spec and enchanted heirlooms.
