With that logic should they also start handing out Scarab Lord, Black Proto-Drake, and Armani Warbears? I mean you’re paying for the game and you don’t already have these, right?..
Deflating the rarity of old content because they’re discontinued, in the manner that is being offered here, is completely backwards and definitely is a slap in the face to all the collectors obtained the mount over the years.
I completely agree that it’s ridicolous that they are now worth more than several real world cars - but there should be a middle ground from that and just giving them away to everyone and their mothers for the lulz…
This is mentality of a clown, no yo u didnt do sht to earn it in the past so why the hell would you be eligible to earn it now, unless blizzard decides to bait new players to afk watch twitch for a mount. The WHOLE REASON this uglyassmount is enjoyable is because of its RARITY. Once rarity is gone the mounts value is gone as well. It is the same as corrupted ashbringer , its only good cuz its rare and ppl had to put in work to get it. They should just add a new mount instead of giving away old items and devaluing the hard work of the old players. And dont even get me started on the argument that you can just buy it since time was value for that mount and from 300k gold it went to like 20milion/3,5k. It literally makes you feel that collecting stuff becomes pointless cuz who knows maybe in the future they will give it away for free and your work will be pointless. idiotic move by blizz and everyone who disagrees is clueless simple as
Sorry, for the state of the game, that people like yourself see it that way.
Perhaps one day they will add all the mounts in the game to a vendor which has a currency, which you get by watching Twitch streams. That way you can get all the mounts, because you paid for your hard earned subscription! /sarcasm
the value is having this mount , its the PRESTIGE that is the value of having something rare, you dont even comprehend how this basic stuff works, i dont care about the gold or money i would get from it i was just happy i had something rare in my collection that i got 10y ago and worked hard for. i dont care its ugly it was the only mount that was fel-related during mop I could get apart from corrupted hyppogryph and when I got it on my challange mode warlock it was just perfect and now blizz can smd
u are literally dumb you can literally buy everything if you are the wallet warrior nowadays but guess what most people dont/didnt buy such stuff with irl money
your life is pointless if you apply this logic to everything, they make a product and create a rare item they should retain its value to make players feel good with their work, if they start acting like this the fun part about collecting rare stuff to show off will be gone cuz what is the point if anyone can get it. you show off your hard work not the pixels itself you clown
i also worked hard for many elite sets and many people just got boosted to get it.
same way you worked hard for the mount but many people got it for free has a gift or buy or traded the card with someone in real life for some object/money.
Love love loveeee this! . I’m a big mount collector and I absolutely HATE unobtainable mounts. I hope they bring back every single mount they have removed from the game in one way or another. Prestige should come from obtaining stuff in-game, and stuff should be obtainable always so new players don’t feel left out. Open the flood gates and bring the mounts!!!
I personally don’t own the mount, and while I am against anything cosmetic in this game being gated behind real life money I do think this is a very disrespectful move on the side of Blizzard.
The greater question at hand here is whether it is okay to suddenly give away mounts, or other things that have previously been gated behind some achievement, even if in this case it is spending money.
Imagine if one of the rare items you had obtained in this game were suddenly given away for free? It would not only make your work of getting this item meaningless but it would also devalue the item itself.
