You can have more than 2 crafted items, just not more than 2 embellishments. Every special piece of gear says that you can only equip 2 and every optional embellishment reagent also states it will add the restriction to the item in addition to the actual effect.
I guess they could have done a embellishment introduction questline or something, but the info is all there.
I had to look up a dictionary to find what embellishment means (which seems to mean decoration instead of function). I would not have to do that with more simple English. It is not that it is bad to learn new words
For those 18 years we knew these things as effects or passives.
It doesn’t matter what it’s called, I had no clue what the meaning of the word “embellishment” is until now. The “unique” part of the tooltip is what’s important. Whether it’s a unique embellishment or a unique watermelon is irrelevant.
I do think it would be worth all those unique equipped little lines to be in another colour so they stood out. Or green until you hit limit then go red. Or just one constant colour, but something to make it more obvious.
You just highlight the point that the text needs changing if people are still making the ''same mistake after 18 years"
Edit: Plus can i also clarify that “built-in” effects like that of the Lariat and Frostfire belt etc, i did not realise went towards your embellishment limit, only ones added did.
I wouldn’t say people are “still” making the same mistake. They’re just making the mistake of not reading tooltips now. Could it be a bit more obvious? Sure, anything could. Has it been enough for 18 years? Yes.
Well then you could either blame the game or realize you’ve missed a part of the tooltip that’s always been there. Built in or not, it still says “Unique-Equipped: Embellished (2)”. I’m personally finding it really difficult to miss the longest line of the tooltip.
I just wonder how “Unique-Equipped: Shadowlands Crafted Legendary (1)” or “Unique-Equipped: Legion Legendary (2)” was not an issue, but somehow you can’t handle the same thing with embellishments.
If yes they serve no noteworthy bonus for PvE due to being tied to your pvp trinkets. Which you wont be using in PvE. Putting their embellishment dps gain to 0.
The boots cant compete with any of the other embellishments for PvE. Including if i dont count the Cowl which would enable Eranog ring.
Ill be honest with you, there is huge gaps in my played, i quit first season of cata, and came back for 4 months of legion, quit again and returned second season of SL, quit again then come back finally for DF, so excuse me that the text isnt INGRAINED in my sub conscious yet.
As i said if your using them for both pvp and pve and only do pve here and there then they are completely fine to craft. Just said that the embellishment itself is a 0% gain in PvE.
As for PvE embellishments in general you want to craft a Lariat Neck for all 3 specs. And then, should you get your hands on the eranog ring, a cowl. Potion craft is not recommended even though its “okayish”.
yep i have a lariat already
sure the ultimate goal is to get eranog’s ring
but until then i think i’ll be using the potion duration embellishment
i think i’ll get most value out of since fangs are quite useless
eventually i’ll drop potion duration for cowl
I do both pve and pvp kinda equally
i now have both boots crafted
i used infurious for pvp and the life bound for pve since i got an extra spark just today
