The lore on this new expansion just feels like such a mess already.

But as I understood, only players can go to mow and return whenever they want. Heroes like Tyrande and Jaina cannot.
In other words heroes that will appear in the mow will actually somehow die before that…
They could just go to the Maw through the huge tear in the sky above Icecrown. We know it leads directly into the Maw.
Well knowing what they did to death itself in lore… know knows
What else can we do? Remember, they’re in the Maw. Outside of the player, no one can exit. They’re stuck here, like the others.

Tyrande will figure prominently in the Ardenweald storyline, both in 9.0 and some things going forward.

Her story is a thread from BFA that couldn’t just be wrapped up neatly by the end of the expansion.

The loss of the Night Elves is a huge story and the team wants to give it the proper reverence.

Tyrande is also grappling with the huge influx of power tied to the Night Warrior.

There may be some cool cinematics that tug at the heartstrings!

The things characters go through on personal levels will resonate beyond, such as Tyrande in BFA continued forward.

last time night elf appeared in CGI cinematic was back during Classic.
I guess you could count Illidan but he isn’t a Night Elf anymore.
but their definition of cool for Night Elves is different.
they’ll probably get what they did with the Darkshore ending.

as for BfA intro reveal cinematic, I thought they were Void Elves.
but that’s just a few seconds frame.
still waiting for a full CGI one where they talk and all.
Oh, in that case… you’re still far ahead of other races. I don’t remember ever seeing any gnome in any of these cinematics.

No, it will be an ingame cutscene like the Night Warrior transformation. That should be obvious to you.
And this implies that it will be a tragic event, probably her death.

One theory that went around given the datamined information, was about her sacrificing her soul and anima to free her people from the Maw.
