Just play classic and in 10 years when transmog is added as it goes through the expansions you will have it. Now that’s a grind.
Same goes for mounts and other items.

“Everyone is equal, everyone is special” mentally right here.
TL;DR no way dawwgg, i like the warm and fuzzy feeling of having stuff is no longer around. Its the main reward for playing this long, and im not alone.
Bye bye
I don’t object to the concept of appearances that are tied to an expansion and become unobtainable later…
I do object to having the idea brought in one time, and then taken away, apparently never to return. Where’s my fancy visuals for staying loyal through BfA? There’s not a lot more I could do with this character, and I don’t have anything that I’m likely to carry through to Shadowlands. Not even any class tier mogs to collect, it’s all fishy themed
I don’t think it’s a good idea, especially with the method you described. Those unavailable items were aquired on many different ways and many of them were never any trophies of top end hardcore playing, just souvenirs from simple adventures. Your system would ruin the whole idea of someone having certain things as memories of their long journey and turn them into some legendary trophies of the most diahard players. It would kill the original spirit of them.
I don’t disagree, but there is a weird logic behind Blizz decisions about what legendaries are/are not available
To me it makes no sense why Benediction/Atiesh are not obtainable, but every other legendary weapon (Sulfuras/ Thunderfury/ Warglaives/ Thori’dal/ Shadowmourne/ Val’anyr/ Tarecgosa/ Fangs) are all still obtainable and available for tmog
I just want the items that some people cheesed through. Like ZG old mounts during tbc/wolk, scarab lord with realm transfers etc.
As a young gamer at that time and definitely not a collector, I didn’t know about such things. And those things required neither skill or group effort. Just being able to realm transfer.
To me, it makes no sense why Black Qiraji Battle-tank is not obtainable, since every vicious mount is still obtainable.
This doesn’t make any sense. Why compare a legendary mount like the Black Qiraji tank to the Vicious ones? Comparing apples and oranges here.
It was slightly sarcastic
Sorry man but its a no from me.
In every single online game there are items which are no longer obtainable/available.
Ingame items - skins - profile icons/avatars etc.
Their purpose is for players to showoff their progression when it was relevant.
Based on them, you can call a player with 10 years played time and a 2020 newb account.
You cant have everything in this life, virtual or real.
I dislike concept of removed content.
I’d personally like to see the tabard of the Argent Dawn brought back, at least for the Shadowlands pre-patch event.
How about one that looks somewhat alike, but isn’t the actual thing?
Maybe a new version, as we already have two argent crusade (not the same IK but still) tabard available.
I don’t see the point of that, to be honest. The Argent Dawn tabard had been introduced three times, with zero differences. So why add some fake lookalike? The “it wouldn’t be fair towards those who played back then” card doesn’t work in this case anyway, since it’s been repeatedly reintroduced despite that.
I never said make it identical.
I know. I’m just wondering why there would be any need for a new version. Again, this tabard’s been reintroduced three times already.
