The Durable Information Storage Container belt effects will have the following adjustments with weekly restarts on 25 June:
Critical Chain – Increased by 25%.
Static Charge – Increased by 50%.
Charged Crystal – Decreased by 24%.
Charged Bolt – Decreased by 62%.
Developers’ notes: A couple of bug fixes alongside tuning changes caused the power of the Charged Bolt effect to go far beyond the other choices and so we are bringing it more in line with the other choices in the upcoming weekly restarts. This will remain top for specs that favor damage procs, but may adjust desired choices for other specs. We are also buffing Static Charge a bit after the ICD change has put it well behind.
This just feels bad. Belt wasn’t really fun, but at least the saps did good damage. So you could notice them. I was kinda happy to have it at times. Sap oneshotting open world mobs at least made it feel powerful. Even if in keys it really wasnt.
Now in the name of ‘balance’, it gets slapped back into line for: “Why isnt this just passive stats instead?” tier.
Any chance you make one that is just stats, like a normal belt, stats chosen by us. Please?
If the effects cant be more powerful than the stat boosts, at least make the stat boosts flat passives.
Or, alternative, reduce the zap duration by half and double the damage.
Something to make it a thing we notice. A small tick of dopamine on proc. Ya know, fun.
Cyrce’s: Fun, interesting procs, reduced to a stat stick.
Helm enchant: could have been fun, interesting procs, reduced to stat stick.
Belt: Fun, impactful proc. Aaaaand it’s back to a stat stick.
Every player had the same choice of buffs, so why apply such ridiculous nerfs? Does anyone on your devs team have any experience playing the game whatsoever? I have my doubts.
what are we increasing and decreasing?
durations? (i.e. something that lasted 4 seconds now lasts 5)
hard%? (i.e. critical chain was 25%, now its 50%)
soft%? (i.e. critical chain was 25%, 25% of 25% is 6,25%, putting the total up to 31.25%)
personally I would rather not have these items again, whenever blizzard tries to add excitement to items they just end up making mandatory content, which kills most excitement.
Please let items just be boring and focus on adding excitement through content and story, I don’t need items to be exciting, I need items to be items.
Maybe add a flat stat stick option to it, that would be very based, I love boring flat stats, much better then yet another window I have to track. Enable secondary stats on it at the price of disabling the gimmicks or something.
If you’re going to give us some special belt why make it yet another dull item no one gives a crap about. Hell even if it barely did anything but at least LOOKED cool with visual procs or whatever people would be more excited. Now, yet again, it’s reduced to a boring stat stick just like you’ve made every other “special” item BORING.
At this point i think its just AI that works there but im afraid even some glitch in AI is better then this garbage of balance we keep getting on EVERYTHING!
