Maybe it was a typo, I noticed this:-
Upon reaching level 50, new players will continue the journey ahead on their own and will no longer have access to the Newcomer Chat.
Seems it was updated on the 8th.

I’m glad because it would have been awful to boot them out so early. There are still so many questions!
Newcomer chat should last until a month past getting a character to max level (or 60 for those who don’t have Dragonflight). It gives them a bit longer to ask questions since you can level fast while learning almost nothing necessary for end game.
There are already people who are annoyed they can’t leave that chat fast enough (mostly returning players). Blizzard should look into making an opt out option so people can leave if they want.
