i would play too if i felt like it…
currently do not though… so deal with that however you like.
that’s why i generally sub long term for games i like (so i can just play whenever) wow has kinda fallen of the wagon though the dev team seem dedicated to driving this mmo into a iceberg so i can no longer confidently sub for 180+ days to this over mmo like swtor or ff 14

i used to be a whale i spent like 7000 euro in bdo 
but then i got better
same… different times though… i used to spend out over £1000 a month on wow alone once upon a time.
I don’t think it reverts back to 6 months, the email indicates it’s a recurring 12 monthly sub.
You also have until January 15th to decide if you want to take up the offer so you have time to ponder

wait what do you even buy for 1000 a month?
12months in one seems a gamble at this stage.
Though if you play classic as well as DF, it might make sense because we already know how classic will unfold.
If something terrible happens in DF 2 months in, you’ve burned your money on that 12 month sub
some things which are not really considered legal play i guess…
and i did serve the appropriate ban time for it as well.
you’d be surprised what people do sell for real money in this game if you look for it…
its is a dire state of play sadly.

Ah I see i was like there no even that much in the store i guess you could be buying tokens but that has a hardcap too i know because i bought a lot once until my husband told me to stop because i was setting a bad example for our daughters heh opps

if tokens existed i prob would of saved a fair bit of money.
i was mostly using token money to upgrade my heirlooms then they made worthless … sighs
so all and all the fact there is whales does not surprise me in this game…
but what does surprise me is people still pick this game to whale for…
some people have been here for nearly 20 years it’s hard to leave i guess i’m not super attached but i do find the game still fun in small dosage i mostly chill on eu though i raid on na and sea from time to time

on and off … not nearly as actively as others who started in 2005 mind you…
my playtime is probably a lot less than most people who played since back then…
not much more than 15000 hours…
i bet some people on this forum itself have over triple that time in shadowlands alone.

i had 3 eu accounts so one got banned for cc cleaner 1 i asked to be deleted and this is a one i started back in mop i think i made another because i wanted to do the achivements that required at least two people thinking of it other then base game and tbc i’ve never had a regular guild

looking back on it deleting my original eu account was a mistake but that bugged achivement was really triggering my oc
i would still use my vanilla account personally, but it was hacked back in CATA… and i did not bother to try reclaim it until the launch of shadowlands.
