Farewell and take care. Tho hope we see you back soon in next fresh classic or similar real wow that could “force” you to return .
I had a long, frank discussion with myself after that ‘Joyous speedrunning megaboost’ nonsense was announced, and asked myself if this was still a game I wanted to have in my life. In short I came very, very close to quitting - almost as close as I came when the P2W boost was announced back in TBC Classic.
Probably I’m a fool, but eventually I concluded that because I’m still enjoying the game there was no need for me to take drastic action.
But my personal frog is coming very close to boiling point right now. It wouldn’t take much more for me to jump out of the water. Obviously a mandatory Crapaclysm ‘upgrade’ would be a definite quit moment, but I’m wondering what else they can do to ruin this game, even before any Crapaclysm D-Day announcement?
This. It’s a game. It’s supposed to be fun. If it isn’t anymore, quit. But if you are enjoying yourself, keep playing.
Right now, I’m about as happy as it’s possible to get in WoW. Doing the Loremaster achievement, and hunting painstakingly through classic zones seeking out quests I’ve not yet done, running old instances solo… all that good stuff.
Got plenty of friends to play with, and still doing the small amount of end game content I enjoy without it taking over the entire game, WoW life couldn’t be better.
Ye, see u soon.
Classic ERA is still open if you want.
We agreed on basically nothing. And frankly, your stubborn refusal to realize this game is not targeted toward you (and arguably never was) was quiet infuriating to me. Still, you were a forum regular, and your posts, if nothing else, were always polite and actually legible in English. So thanks for that.
Good luck, have fun, and take care of your kids. In the end that is all that actually matters.
I haven’t been to the classic forums for a while but I do know this place will not be the same without you.
Wish you all the best and I hope you find a new sanctuary, hopefully one not ruled by such an evil entity such as Blizzard.
Why did you just write a thesis about why you are quitting WoW? It’s like you’re trying to justify to yourself why you’re leaving and why would you think people would care that much.
