So it isn’t the visions that are the issue; but those players who think that the content is easier then it truly is.

And that people who 5 mask it claiming it are cakewalks, while it are not.

And then of course there’s people who see a video of a 470ilvl spec doing a 5 mask run and assume this means that any player of any skill and gear level is capable of doing the same!

Fortunately we also have some very helpful people on the forums who have been giving advice on how to do visions (for particular specs or for anyone). I’ve definitely been helped and encouraging by these kinds of good and helpful players.

Visions are cool, one of the few good things they made in BFA. The only bad thing is that the entry fee, that actually greatly decreases the enjoyment.

“Oh I have mood for Demon Hunter, he may enjoy that Stormwind… and did really good last time” - needs few runs for cloak upgrade, has 1 vessel.

I log out as there’s no point doing one run, when you need minimum 2.

get better gear. i dont raid or play much m+ and have 450 with two characters (feral and dh ) and do easily clear run and have unlocked 3 mask.
push your itemlevel to get better items from chests and invasions.
kill worldboss and dont forget your bonusroll. play LFR.

and get your essences. they will help a lot.

Nah they don’t, they’re easy and highly forgiving to mistakes. Your gear is just trash, that’s the only thing.

Truly the only one who “sucks” is you not visions.

I did 2 medium areas and Thrall on my first clear on my alt for maximum mementos, and was doing full clears as soon as I researched Elite extermination.

Only on a 430-440 ilvl so…

Typical WoW content is it goes from hard to easy when you reach a break-point in the gearing system. I went from full clear being a real challenge to full clear being super-easy thanks to Elite Extermination and two Cloak rank upgrades.

I really, really like the concept of Visions but the way it has been implemented is, for me, disappointing. I feel my improved progress is 90% down to gear ilvl, corruption, cloak Rank and research and only 10% of it is down to me getting better.

Azerite Essences hunting, doing storyline quests, hearth of azeroth lvling, visions and trying to level up the cloak, island expeditions, warfronts, all solo content

When it’s entirely possible to do all these things in a group (and I have done them all in guild groups) I’m not sure how they can be described as solo content.

And don’t get me wrong; I don’t think they’re difficult. I’ve got my rank 13 cloak easily, but I don’t like doing it and it’s extremely boring and tedious to do multiple runs in a row for an upgrade. It’s. Not. Fun.

Mage tower was challenging. Timeless isle elites with 1shot mechanics were challenging. Visions are just annoying - basically a version of m+ with little to no loot and dubious incentives to do it on a regular basis.

I agree, impatience is defintly the problem so many seem to suffer

Most players seem to believe you should be able to play a patch and annihilate it, well BFA has kinda done away with this concept.

We are moving away from a time where you play the patch, not the content, which tbh is a better direction (if they actually utilise it well)

You can’t walk back into the game and smash the latest content in quest armour, now you will have to actually catch up to play the content.

I returned just before 8.3 and Nazjatar smacked me so hard trying to get through it on a mage.

However.

I will also say this.

I’ve played this toon for 3 weeks.

• I’m 462 ilevel.
• I can almost fly.
• I’ve got rank 2 of strong essences. And closing in on rank 3
• I’ve done the major story line and my cloaks rank 12
• my Rio score is almost 1200.
• my neck is 76.

And before someone tries to proclaim this is because I have “so much time to play” I hold a full time job of between 40 - 50 hours and have recently started only having 1 day off.

This ain’t from doing 12 hours a day on games like people like to proclaim, it’s just simply knowing the core of the process and working with it.

Make sure to do a +12 to receive a 470 item.

Make sure to do the dailies and stuff for essence grind

Complete the assaults when avaliable.

Maximise the rewards for your cloak quest (you can get 4x pages in one run)

I stacked my vials until I was 450 ilevel

Do the weekly island expedition quest.

Put any excess time into spamming your own key repeatively

I get the alt unfriendly behaviour of BFA Is hated for good reason, but for fresh returning players this is new content to you…

Running Orgrimmar visions (Thrall + first boss) was easy - u ran somewhere do what should be done and ok - u have cloak upg + some bonus. Now Stormwind? Its completely r - tarded … You need to kill two stupid bosses who are far from each other = good bye sanity and then open some stupid cages or whatnot = good bye EVEN MORE SANITY … where is balance in that?

I presume it depends on your gear level. At 450+ I do full clear Orgrimmar and Stormwind, and usually have 2 orbs left.

Me : I have wine and snacks, Stormwind cannot be this bad as DH.
Me inside vision : Oh no knock back, this week is not as bad here.
Also me : Leaden foot debuff - triggers motion sickness, I make bee line to last boss, to zone out.

Best 3 orbs I never used.

It is crazy how I can do mask runs in Org and I cannot force myself even to try full SW run. I have never seen 2 bosses in SW because the affixes just are annoying.

And can there be any more burrowing mobs than there is in SW ?

I failed a few keys at start too, then I did some with friends, I learned from my mistakes, hard content doesn’t mean the game sucks, it means: just learn from your mistakes and get good

Well I logged my dk and memorised something … dks cannot be slowed by the affix too much. And went to clear it on my dk so that went to last boss with my 3 orbs. My pet interrups the mage, on last boss my army did the trick.

here’s morale of the story for me. When SW week is up - use only dks.

Will drink 2nd half of my wine and go do my mask run top of it.

And I do not think ‘get good’ has anything to do with visions rather than - get corrupted, get ilevels.

i know youre not completely serious, but why is “being good” so god damn important though? like why is 95% of the content designed in a way that either requires you to be good or outgear it

when the hell did it get decided that being good was suddenly the one and only goal and content has to be shaped around it

im not asking for participation badges or last place ribbons, but this is a GAME its mean to be fun not some f*cking competition all the time
