… you don’t need to wait for the 4-6 hour respawn timer to continue playing with that character. Your character is only silenced in Orgrimmar and I think the entirety of Durotar. The rest of the game is completely accessible for your fresh DK. You can take the zeppelin to another city to have access to services, or you can go straight to Outland via the portal in Orgrimmar to start questing there - and the Orgrimmar faction NPC’s in Thrallmar are also friendly, btw, so you can learn riding and …
